Old Fort is approximately 30 minutes east from downtown Asheville, but has so much to offer guests looking to explore the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Explore downtown Black Mountain or Marion, both approximately 15-20 minutes from Old Fort. These small, mountain towns are perfect places to grab a bite to eat, try local craft brews, or explore numerous local shops for local arts and crafts.
If you love the outdoors, hike to Catawba Falls- a 100 ft waterfall. The Blue Ridge Parkway can be accessed in East Asheville or north of Marion. South Mountains State Park and Lake James State Park in Morganton are also 30 minutes away.

Easy to moderate hike up to Lower Catawba Falls- a 100 ft. waterfall. Creek runs parallel to the trail and is shaded for most of the hike.
