My Favorite Restaurants & Things to do!

McClellanville has 5 restaurants that I would highly recommend for a Low Country experience: Review on www.yelp.com Uncle Percy’s Village Market (Sadly, out of business as of 9/3/21) TW Grahams Boats 'n Hoagies Buck Shots (Rated one of the best Gullah restaurants in SC!) The Bent Rod The McClellanville Diner.
Friendly service and authentic local fare. TW Graham used to be the town's general store before being destroyed by Hurricane Hugo. There is still the feeling that you are in the store - but instead, being served delicious local seafood!

A visit to McClellanville isn't complete without a visit to one of the many plantations in the area. Walking around and exploring the plantation is free, but guided visits require a small fee. George Washington visited here during the Revolutionary War and Hampton Plantation is a perfect example of the skilled craftsmanship of the time. Well worth a visit!

Hopsewee Plantation is location on the south Santee River and has a delightful restaurant and store. There is a fee to tour the original plantation home, but walking around the property is free of charge. I'd recommend having lunch at the restaurant - delicious local fare!

Blue Pearl Farms is essentially a Blueberry and honey farm. Because of the diversity in the area, there are multiple type of honey they have available. Your host is Blueberry Sherri - she is a wealth of knowledge about the area, blueberries, bees, herbs, plants and they even sell Blue Crabs they have caught themselves. Much to see here and well worth the visit. Sherri also holds education classes about bees, herbs, blueberries, etc - so visit the Blue Pearl Farms website to see what's going. These classes are popular and sell out early. You always just stop by and visit!
