Close and has just about everything you need. Walking distance, about 20 minutes but it is a beautiful, mostly flat walk. There is also a bus. This is where the locals on the zoo end of town shop.

Parks & Nature
This harbourside beach is a popular tourist spot so it gets busy on public holidays. Every other day you will have it almost to yourself. It is leash free for dogs but check the signs. There is a small cafe and a Marine park feature which is fascinating, run by volunteers so check the times. There is also a small seal colony as you wall up to Georges Heights. We will tell you how to find it. Swimming all year round, there is a net. People fish from the wharf, illegally as it happens. Scuba divers love this area for its rich undersea scapes including a colony of seahorses. We love it because it is only a few hundred meters down the road.

Getting Around
Travel straight to Circular Quay and then grab a ride to Manly , there are buses from Spit Junction but this is a short ride of fifteen minutes and then puts you at the doorstep of the city. Highly recommended.
