Food Scene

Local microbrewery with an interesting menu and excellent beers. Please call ahead as they are a music venue and often have cover charges on the weekend or simply sell out their seating for the music. The food service also ends at 9 pm but you can still get a cold beer until closing. Check their site for hours. About half of our recent guests were turned away because they stopped serving, ran out of food, or had a music cover charge. If you can get in, you will enjoy it.

This is an Amish Bakery that is open on Friday and Saturday but closes for the Winter from the end of October to late March. The bakery has all of the traditional Amish favorites and everything is made fresh on site with real food and no preservatives. Buy a donut and get a free cup of coffee. But come early for the baked goods as they always sell out. Fridays Amos smokes great barbecue chicken and you can get a half chicken, baked potato, beans, macaroni salad and a roll for under $9.00.

Drinks & Nightlife

This is a great spot in a historic building 30 minutes from our house. A multi-million dollar renovation to an 1800's buggy factory located on the rail line turned trail of the former Lewisburg & Tyrone Railroad ROW, has created unique architecture, a large micro-brewery, and a good menu. Often there is live music on the weekends and there is room for lots of people. The upstairs bar is more relaxed with a pool table and large screen TV's and interest mounts all around the bar. It is worth the drive.
