Definitely worth a visit. Park up your car and go for a wander along the shores of Loch Ness. There is also a very nice woodland walk - just follow the path. And afterwards maybe call at the Dores Inn for a coffee or hot chocolate or perhaps a nice local beer or a nip of Whisky!

Great scenery and good walks. Best of all is that visitors in August and September have a good chance of seeing the salmon leaping!

Another way to see the wildlife on the Moray firth. Take a trip on the Dolphin Spirit boat and spend an hour or so gently cruising the forth taking in the local sights and some of the wildlife on the water. Alternatively try a trip on the mischief rib - fast, exhilarating, fun and a very good chance of seeing our very own pod of bottle nose dolphins and some seals in their natural environment.

Lots of ancient artefacts on display and a chance to get interactive with some of the exhibits. The art gallery has regular visiting exhibits and is worth checking out. The staff are lovely and there’s a coffee shop too! Nice place to visit on a rainy day
