I'm not much of a sea person, so this is my favourite water place. One can swim for about 600m before looking up. :) Great for family picnics and there is a separate section where dogs are allowed.

Sightseeing
For roadrunners, this is the scenic road to Kalk Bay. Good for whale spotting, there are several turn offs that make a loop of anything from 2km to 10km possible. Trailrunners can head up too.

My favourite thing to do is wander around in the Muizenberg Mountains. A must do if you're active. I love this mountain way more than Table Mountain! There's waterfalls and caves too.

Great place to canoe, windsurf, or watch fish-eagles and other wildlife (I've seen kingfishers and my friend saw otters - he wakes up early). Good for picnics, but not the best, not good for swimming

If you like penguins, this is awesome. Heading out South, this is a great midway stop. If you're not so much into penguins, just wander outside the fence, if you love them, spend a while here.

I haven't actually been here, but I've been meaning to go. Apparently a great bird watching spot. I want to see it because it's part of the wastewater treatment facility too.

Touristy, but still one of my fav places in Cape Town. Have a late, lazy afternoon picnic here in summer. The plants are amazing, and the views phenomenal. In summer there's music concerts.
