No.1 visit in Vienna is the Schönbrunn palace & the park connected to it. There is also the oldest Zoo in Europe and you can walk up to the Gloriette, where you have the best view over Vienna.
About it: At the end of the seventeenth century Emperor Leopold I commissioned the Baroque architect Johann Bernhard Fischer von Erlach, who had received his training in Rome, to design an imperial hunting lodge for his son, Crown Prince Joseph, later to become Emperor Joseph I. Replacing the château de plaisance built on this site for the dowager empress Eleonora of Gonzaga in 1642, it was to grow into a palatial imperial residence over the course of the eighteenth century.

Really nice, artsy area. A colorful and booming district has developed around the Brunnenmarkt in Ottakring (the 16th district). The market itself exudes southern flair. Many artists have taken up residence in the surrounding area, making Brunnenmarkt and the adjacent Yppenmarkt one of the city's liveliest neighborhoods. New eateries are opening all the time around Yppenplatz. Crisp vegetables, fresh fish, exotic spices and fair prices, combined with the multicultural hustle and bustle of Brunnenmarkt, make for a creatively relaxed atmosphere.

The first district is one of the most famous districts in Vienna. The historic city center with the Hofburg Palace, Vienna's St. Stephen's Cathedral and the Vienna State Opera has lost none of its splendor. Throughout the pedestrian zone and along Kärntner Strasse, former Graben and Kohlmarkt purveyors of the imperial court sell their best: from Demel's stunning cakes to Rozet and Fischmeister's gleaming cutlery.
The Top addresses in the first district:

Krems an der Donau is around 60km away from Vienna but totally worth a visit. You will find nice hiking trails and a lot of apricots growing.
It is very nice to bike there (along the Danube) and visit Dürrstein und Spitz (old ruins).
On top of that you will find a lot of "Heurigen" where you can drink austrian wine and nice austrian food.
