Food scene

The recently refurbed Bluebell Inn is an absolute winner if you’re looking for tasty food in the area! We’ve tried pretty much everything on the menu, and everything has been delicious. They have cool sheltered pods in the garden with heaters and it’s dog friendly! Would recommend booking in advance if you are hoping to swing by… service can sometimes be a little bit slow.

Taking a walk around the gardens of Ilam hall down to Dovedale Stepping Stones in an absolute right of passage for anyone visiting Derbyshire.

Activities

Really lovely gentle cycle (and walking) path along the old LNWR railway between Buxton and Ashbourne. It’s a 13 mile gentle trail that is accessible for people of all abilities. Take your own bikes or hire one at Parsley Hay
