In november to january it is season for the whale safari. I advise you to book a trip with a boat.

Northern Light
Sydspissen is the best spot close to city for the northern light experience. The 33-bus from Skippergata will bring you there. If you have a car you should go to "Finnvikdalen" : Aurora View Point, Fv58, 9100 Kvaløysletta. Sommarøya is also a nice spot. If the weather forecast is not good enough, it might be a advise to book a guidet trip. Use warm clothing and warm shoes!
