Sightseeing

Kaštilac was a fortress of a Benedictine Monastery located by the Adriatic Sea in central Dalmatia and it is one of the original seven castles of Kaštela. Kaštilac was also used as a location for filming the HBO series Game of Thrones.

Vitturi Castle was built by the aristocratic family Vitturi from Trogir, at the end of the 15th century. Nowadays, the renovated Vitturi castle has become the cultural centre of Kaštel Lukšić, as a place where numerous exhibitions, concerts and plays are held. The town museum, tourist info and library are situated in the castle. The Vitturi castle is famous not only for its beauty but also for a legend of Miljenko and Dobrila ,two lovers from Kaštel Lukšić, who are often described as the Croatian Romeo and Juliet.
