Only 32 kilometers from the capital of José, on the road to Puriscal, is the Indigenous Community of Quitirrisí, in the middle of the mountain the natives still keep the spirituality and customs they had more than 500 years ago when the Spanish conquerors arrived.

Therapeutic Ayahuasca The most important aspect of preparing for the ceremony is approaching the experience in a respectful way. It is important to understand that this medicine works profoundly to physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually recalibrate your being in balance, as well as providing insight into your life. The more attention you can give to this process in advance to prepare for the experience and clarify its purpose, the more you can gain from the experience. The best way to prepare yourself psychologically is to focus on what you are looking to find with the ceremony and relax. Remember that apart from a 'substance', you will come across the spirit of a sacred and ancient medicine. Before the ceremony, it is important to cultivate the balance of entering the experience with an intention and also letting go the expectation. This medicine is a tool. Long-term effectiveness depends on how the person uses the tool and integrates it into their life.

All this is part of a typical Costa Rican family who shares some time with you in their colorful backyard. Of course a presentation will round-up everything and you are welcome to be part of the show!
