Locally owned, operated and prepared desserts.
I particularly like the key lime coconut cake; however, there are plenty of choices to satisfy your sweet tooth. Worth the visit.
There Bradenton location is currently closed for renovations; however, they have a location on Anna Maria Island that has limited hours. Call before you go.

Next door to "Hometown Desserts" it offers delicious Italian ice and custard. Can't decide which flavor you want? Get a combo cup.
My favorite combo is vanilla custard and root beer ice. Tastes like a root beer float... mmmm

Technically this isn't in Bradenton but it's a market that I have to recommend. Closed on Sunday. The other 6 days you will find it teeming with fresh fruits, veggies, deli meats, and baked goods. What do I find irresistible? The deli sandwiches, soups, bakery, and ice cream! Warning: It is addictive.

The other 6 days you will find it teeming with fresh fruits, veggies, deli meats, and baked goods. What do I find irresistible? The deli sandwiches, soups, bakery, and ice cream! Sightseeing
This is a beautiful and peaceful place to walk. A nature photographer's paradise. You can catalog 100's of birds and plants or simply sit by the lake and relax. There are a few different areas which include Robinson Preserve so visit each one.

There is a nice downtown area but my preference is the riverwalk. It's a nice walk along the river with benches to rest and a few restaurants to stop in for a drink or meal.
