Sightseeing
You can walk to the nature preserve from the house! They are continually adding to the nature preserve but it currently has bathrooms and beach access.
There is a parking lot that is open from sun up to sun down. You can get there by taking a left when leaving the house, then taking the first right- it is less than 1/4 mile.
If you go out the right when leaving the house there is a walkway through the nature preserve- it will lead you to the beach and we have so much fun going to the beach this way!

Pilgrim Haven Natural Area

Food scene
We are always up here with our Kiddos so these are family friendly suggestions but not complete 'kids places'
We love to visit the Black River Tavern, the food is always good and the atmosphere is relaxed.
During the day it is kid friendly and on weekend nights they have live music or a comedy show. They are always open!
