Richmond's best restaurant. Get the Perfect Egg. They used to serve homemade gourmet hotdogs and sodas on the sidewalk summer Saturday's from 12:00-2:00, then opened "Stroops" around the corner to satisfy customer demand. Stroops may or may not be open currently.

Some of Richmond's best BBQ right down the block. THe Jalapeño Mac & Cheese and the train wreck or brisket burrito are my go-tos. If you leave the apt windows open you'll be able to smell it some afternoons. Outdoor patio eating.

Union Market is half market/ half restaurant. Great for lunch and light fare dinner. Patio seating is popular. Craft beer and kombucha on tap, free wifi. I usually get the 1/2 French dip or Chicken Tarragon sandwich, 1/2 chopped salad (chickpeas and avocado!). Market offers awesome local food options, some pre-made snacks, craft beer and great wine selection and lots of locally made icecreams and cookies.

The BEST brunch in the city. Huevos Rancheros is my go-to. Any of the Mess's are killer, too. Booths have working jukeboxes. Get there early or expect a pretty good wait time. Dinner is also amazing, but brunch is where they reign.

Great for groups and families, this is the neighborhood's anchor bar and restaurant. Wide menu to choose from, and a little easier on the wallet than the neighborhood's cream-of-the-crop restaurants.

In addition to sodas and milkshakes, they made coldbrew coffee cocktails (non-alcoholic) that are INCREDIBLE! Try the Mule or the Copperhead.
