Take a drive to the other end of Waiheke Island. The drive along is worth it. But the Man O' War Tasting Room beside the sea is one of the best things to do on the island.

Parks & Nature
Off the beaten path, but a 100% must see.
If the wind is NOT coming from the South West then this beach on a sunny day, with views out across the water back to the skyline of Auckland is magic. Time your visit with high tide for very safe paddling in the water for the whole family. There are some lovely picnic spots looking out over the beach.

Best beach for families. Has a good playground beside the beach. Also has a good shop for drinks icrecreams, a takeaway for fish and chips, and also a food fired pizza oven.
Swimming is for the most part safe for kids. best to swim at the far end of the beach, away from the creek.
