when driving to pappy's I always head up Old Women's spring road to pipes canyon make a right to Pioneer town. It's a beautiful drive and only takes about 15 minutes. Try and make a reservation but if you can't then there's nice boulder climbing across the street so you can sign in and go on a hike or take a stroll through Pioneer Town,it's quite festive during the holiday season and a big favorite for kids!

This joint just reopened after many years and it's an incredible slice of history. There is live music,cocktails and food. check out the website to read all about the history and see who's playing. Catch the beautiful sunset ,although nowhere is nicer for the sunset then on the front porch of the house!

A fantastic free, outdoor museum of art made of surplus building materials and household objects. It's a bit off the beaten path but worth it if you are in the area, say, after hiking in Joshua Tree. You are encouraged to leave a donation for the foundation.

This Grocery store is very close and has lots of great deals however watch the expiration dates! They have quite a good wine selection. During Covid I like this store the best because it's usually pretty empty.
