Draw the curtains for privacy in a cosy reading nook with views toward verdant rolling countryside. This converted Victorian era barn is brimming with rustic comforts including a wood-burning fireplace and a claw-foot tub next to a heated towel rack.
The barn is a lovely private space for a romantic break for two. It has it's own kitchen, bathroom with roll top bath, sitting room with wood burner, and kingsize bed with White Company bed linens and towels provided. There is a hot tub in the garden for guests to enjoy. The kitchen is well equipped with a mini dishwasher, microwave, electric hob and oven, toaster, Nespresso machine, kettle etc.
Swallows' Flight Barn is adjacent to a farmhouse in 1,000 acres of glorious Devon farmland, set in a historic courtyard dating back to 1860. It's one mile to the sea and many beautiful beaches, and a 10-minute walk to the village with great dining.

    Our beautifully crafted Treehouse at Salcombe Farm, Salcombe is perched within the branches of a stunning silver birch tree, growing just behind the gorgeous Georgian Farmhouse.
    Spectacular views through the rolling hills of Horsecombe Valley and on to Batson Creek, Salcombe Estuary and beyond can all be viewed from the private seating area in a secluded corner of a 3.5 acre field. The cedar shingle clad Treehouse is surrounded by an elevated decking, where you can sit back and relax with a glass of wine, while watching Horsecombe Farm's Rare Breed Dartmoor Ponies. There is an abundance of nature too with buzzards and barn owls to be spotted from the deck. Alternatively stargaze at night and listen to the crickets and look out for the glow worms from your private terrace, while sat by a roaring, crackling fire in the cast iron fire bowl, perfect for BBQ's or treat yourself to toasted marshmallows. Inside you’ll find a beautiful big chunky solid oak double bed; piled high with gorgeous linens, Susie Watson cushions and Susie Watson sumptuous quilt. The rustic half round wood rail ceiling and beautiful oak walls and floors provide the perfect setting to curl up in the tweedy chairs, next to the electric flame effect wood burning stove which, heats up within a matter of moments. The hand crafted oak table provides the perfect setting for a game of Scrabble, cards; or simply just peep through any of the windows at the surroundings. An en suite shower-room lined with ceramic drift wood tiles, underfloor heating and heated towel rail ensures that you'll be snug, piping hot water, with organic paraben free hair and body wash products. There’s a proper flushing loo and a river rock granite wash-basin that sits on a hand crafted table. Optional extra - wake up in the morning and winch up the wicker basket, filled with fresh crossiant and pain au chocolat from the local bakery or The English Breakfast Package, containing locally sourced produce (available on request at a small charge). The Treehouse has a bespoke built duck egg blue kitchen, with gorgeous oak worktops and a matching oak kitchen table. Including a fridge-freezer, fan oven with grill, portable induction hob, large white butler sink, Nespresso Coffee machine, seven-bottle wine cooler, Morphy Richards toaster, kettle and utensils. All of the cooking equipment and crockery is state of the art. If you decide you do want to leave your little paradise, there’s plenty on offer. A 15 minute walk along idyllic country lanes past fragrant hedgerows and thatched cottages brings you to Salcombe town that offers an abundance of fantastic shops, restaurants, cafés and pubs all in the backdrop of some of Devon’s most spectacular coastline and the lovely beaches of the Salcombe estuary.     Perfect luxury retreat for couples, for either a long or short break. All bedding, towels, tea towels provided along with tea and coffee facilities.
    Just a short stroll from the main town centre of Salcombe. 10 minute walk down the hill but 10/15 minute walk back up. Its not a major problem but note the hill is steep. Close enough to enjoy the activity of the town but far enough away to escape and find peace should you need. Less than a minute away from the local spar store and post office.

    The bright and sunny Studio is situated in a quiet and picturesque valley a mile from the award winning Bantham beach. With a yoga platform in the garden and surrounded countryside, its the perfect retreat for couples, yogi or a small family looking for a relaxed getaway near the sea. Max 4 people!
    The Studio is a unique little haven tucked in a Devonshire valley, a mile from the sea. Owned by an artist, it has a quirky shabby chique interior with an open plan living space, breakfast bar and balcony overlooking the valley. Its beautiful setting and location make it a perfect place to retreat to. The garden has a yoga platform for those who want to salute the Devon sun. Its located in a valley with a handful of other holiday cottages nearby and in sight, though its elevated place on the hill means its quiet and feels private. There are gorgeous country walks leaving from the property and a 20 minute walk to the famous, award winning Bantham Beach. Guests book repeatedly each year for its charm and location. The bedroom has its own balcony doors opening onto the valley and a skylight overhead for stargazing from bed. The living room has a pull out sofa bed for 2 people expanding the capacity to 4 people staying, though please note that the space is best suited for couples. The Studio is light and airy during the summer with lots of wild birds. Please note that cooking facilities are not extensive but certainly sufficient. Have a look in the pictures so you can see what is available and know what to expect. There is a lovely stray black and white cat, Miss Frieda Meoiw, who comes and goes over the year, who makes her home the studio for some of the time. She may or may not be there when you visit. She is to stay outdoors, although she loves a cuddle and feed if you like cats! During the winter, it is snug, cosy and warm! There are village shops and excellent pubs in Thurlestone (1.5m), Bantham (0.9m) and Churchstow (2m) and Kingsbridge (4m) offers a supermarket, banks, numerous shops, cafes, galleries, yoga studio and a regular farmers markets. Surf rentals can be found in Churchstow or on Bantham beach. Free parking for 2 cars. Please note a car is essential to get to this area!
    Just a short way from the award winning Bantham Beach, this is an area with incredible country walks in every direction leaving the house. The solitude and quiet of the valley is at the heart of its charm and with little light pollution, its a great place for star gazing at night. Truly a beautiful retreat!

    Cosy One bedroom semi detached annex with private parking and garden. Our cottage is perfect for a quiet winter break storm chasing or a lovely summer break by the sea. Situated near the South West coast path and walking distance (20mins walk 1 mile) to pubs and beaches at Hope Cove and South Milton Sands. Salcombe and Kingsbridge less than 10 mins drive away! We are very happy for you to bring dogs but we request that they are not left at home unattended and that you clean up after them.
    Well equipped and self contained holiday apartment with spacious kitchen, living room and two bathrooms. Bedroom is light and airy with a large super king sized bed which can be made up as two single beds on request. Outdoor patio and enclosed garden with private parking.

    Kitchen and bathroom completely refurbished - Under floor heating, walk in shower and luxury kitchen - all brand new for Easter 2017 - The Hayloft at Middle Nuckwell is a one bedroom property, with a luxury double sofabed in the lounge, so would sleep 4 people comfortably, and is detached from the main farmhouse. The Hayloft has been recently renovated and includes a fully fitted brand new kitchen, modern brand new bathroom, and private decking area, which includes outdoor sofa, dining set and BBQ. There is also a hot tub on the patio. The garden backs onto a paddock which has horses grazing. There are also free range chickens and ducks - you are welcome to collect your own eggs.     Nestled in the heart of the South Hams (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty), the property is nestled in a beautiful valley. There is a tidal road and estuary within half a mile and there are public footpaths and bridleways nearby, so the location is perfect for walkers and mountain-bikers. Bantham Beach (voted one of the best beaches in Europe by Lonely Planet) is about 3 miles away, so the property is perfect for surfers and water sports enthusiasts. The property is set in the heart of the South Hams so there are numerous sandy beaches and coves to explore. The market town of Kingsbridge is about a mile away, where you will find numerous amenities including supermarkets. The yachting town of Salcombe is also very close by, providing water sports, shopping and many restaurants. Dartmoor National Park is also close and can be seen from the property in the distance.

    The newly converted spacious loft in the Barn (Upper Deck) of the gardens of Lower Kerse set in 30acres of beautiful, tranquil gardens, woods and fields and only 5 minutes from local beaches such as South Milton Sands, the surf beach - Bantham, village pubs, beach restaurants, coastal walks, tennis and golf clubs. Upperdeck is newly furnished with constant free WiFi.
    The Upper deck is a newly converted and furnished upper floor of a new oak open plan barn (40ft x 14ft). It has a separate toilet and a separate shower room with hand basins in both. We provide professionally laundered linen, fresh towels and beach towels. The superking bed can be split into twins. Please state at time of booking how you would like beds made up. There is the option to assemble a single bed for a third person to share the room. There is a nightly charge for this.
    The Upper Deck is in a unique setting. It is in a designated area of outstanding natural beauty surrounded by beautiful gardens. We are only 5 minutes from the centre of Thurlestone Village in a secluded, peaceful valley with views of the sea from the garden. Thurlestone is a pretty thatched village with an excellent pub, golf/tennis club. Over 4 beaches in Thurlestone alone and Bantham beach, famous for its surf and surf school is only 10 minutes from your front door. Also, popular for kite surfing and wind surfing. Bantham beach also offers superb Stand Up Paddle boarding down the beautiful River Avon. Hire of Paddle boards can be arranged prior to arrival. Salcombe, 15 mins away and Kingsbridge under 10. We have put together a useful manual with all our favourite restaurants, cafes, sailing schools etc etc.....

    21 Island Street is a lovely period fisherman's holiday cottage, perfectly located next to the beautiful Salcombe Estuary, 50 metres from the waters edge and a 2 min level walk to the centre of town. This lovely cottage is a great destination for family beach holidays or grown-up weekend escapes, with the nearby pristine beaches, epic coastal walks, and all that Salcombe has to offer. - pet friendly. We have the property opposite available too for larger groups!
    The cottage has two bedrooms and can sleep 4 guests. We have a property opposite so great for extended families and friends too! we have a parking permit that is available for £40 per week or £25 per short stay which gives you access to the car park at the bottom of the road and lots of other parking in the wider area. We ask at the time of booking whether you would like the permit. Please note there is no parking at the premises
    Salcombe offers all the elements for a perfect British holiday all year round. It is an area of outstanding natural beauty and is the best town in Devon for a family holiday or a relaxed grown up year round break to walk on the cliffs and explore the local area. Salcombe offers world class beaches, clean water and from the cottage you could arrange to go fishing, diving, sailing, water skiing, golfing, walking on the magnificent Bolt Head or just go and enjoy Salcombe's pubs and restaurants, which are less than 5 minutes' walk from the cottage. Diving, sailing, walking, fishing and a great number of watersports can be arranged very easily. A small ferry only 5 minutes from the cottage connects the town with the beautiful white sand beaches of east Portlemouth, and children will love crabbing off the estuary walls at the end of Island Street.

    Apartment in Salcombe, South Devon - 15 mins Walk To The Heart Of Salcombe And Less Than Five To The Beach At North Sands. Stylish Apartment With Large Decking And Spectacular Sea Views.
    Stylish and comfortable apartment occupying the seaward corner of a large Victorian villa set in lawned gardens (shared) sloping down towards the bay. Even though it's an apartment it's still quite private and you don't feel like you're overlooked by other visitors although it is worth noting that ours is one 8 apartments in a large house, some of which are occupied full time by residents and whose gardens/decking adjoin ours. With amazing views from the decking this well equipped apartment is the perfect holiday destination for families and friends. Description of sleeping capacity: Sleeps 6 (3 Bedrooms) PLEASE NOTE - Linen and Towels, Bath Mats, Hand Towels, Tea Towels and Oven Gloves are all provided as well as a few basic essentials to start you off such as loo roll, washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, bin bags etc and tea and coffee. Notes on bedrooms: Bedroom 1 has a king size bed, fabulous sea views and opens on to the decking. Bedroom 2 has a double bed and large windows overlooking the garden (and shed - sorry!). Bedroom 3 has two funky full size wooden bunks. Also a door opening on to the decking and lovely views. There is a trundle bed that you can pull out from under the lower bunk, which would be fine for an extra child to sleep on, but would make the room a bit snug. Please let us know if you plan to use this. Bathrooms Family bathroom has a bath with shower over. There's a loo in there too. The other bathroom is a little more cosy and has the same bath, shower and loo layout. Kitchen The kitchen has a gas hob with electric ovens. There's even a steam oven for the adventurous. Fridge, freezer, dishwasher and microwave all fitted and high quality. White plates, lots of wine glasses. Good pans. Nespresso coffee machine and milk frother with a few pods to get you started. Living Room A big wooden table, easily seating eight, separates the kitchen from the sitting room, which has two big slouchy sofas facing each other across a low table, good for feet or magazines. There's a good-sized telly (not too giant) with a DVD player. Notes on accommodation: Child's Highchair. Travel cot Outside: Gas bbq. The decking is great. Clean and modern with the most amazing sea views. You can easily sit eight around the table for lunch or dinner and there's still enough room for children to do their own thing without disturbing everyone. Two big sun loungers and two reclining chairs. Cushions for garden furniture in the shed. The railings on one side are a little low so care should be taken with young children. There are lawns and planted borders below on the sea side. It's great for younger children to play on but too slopey to play football (which many might think is a good thing!). Parking is up above the house out of the way in one allocated space. There is plenty of unrestricted parking on Sandhills Road for additional cars. Steps down from the car park to the front door.
    It is close to the lovely North Sands beach and of course the popular Winking Prawn beachfront cafe/restaurant.

    We offer accommodation in a large, comfortable double room above our pub in the estuary town of Kingsbridge in South Devon. The room has an en-suite with shower and toilet; TV; tea and coffee making facilities; hairdryer; wardrobe and drawers. The pub downstairs is a traditional pub, with a pool table, piano and charming, courtyard garden. We are based in the heart of the town, close to a variety of fine restaurants and shops, the bus station and the scenic estuary.
    There is a private side entrance to the building which is available to guests if they do not want to use the pub entrance. We do not provide any meals, but there are a number of places nearby which offer food throughout the day. It is important to be aware that the room is above the pub and so there is a level of noise which comes from downstairs. There is live music performed by local musicians on a Sunday from 5-7pm. We are situated on a street with award winning restaurants, another pub and take-away outlets. It can therefore be a busy part of town, especially on a Saturday night, so there is some noise outside the pub. Some may enjoy being so central, while others may not, so please keep this in mind.
    Kingsbridge is a charming estuary town in the South Hams, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The town has a number of interesting independent shops; art galleries; cafes; restaurants; pubs; a cinema and leisure centre with a swimming pool and gym. There is a scenic embankment for those who enjoy a stroll and for the adventurous, the town is an ideal base from which to explore the nearby coastal areas, moor and neighbouring towns.

    Our home is a place to relax and enjoy time on the most beautiful estuary in England. You’ll love our home for its fantastic views and a kitchen that is a dream to cook and entertain in, with a table that can seat 10. We have tried to anticipate your every need; from a choice of coffees, toiletries, books and games to beach toys and binoculars. We accept well behaved dogs who will appreciate the grassy track at the side of the house and the outdoor tap and hose for cleaning sandy paws.
    Guests comment on how well equipped our house is. You can pack light for your trip to Salcombe. The beds are all very comfortable. The twin can be made up as a 6ft zip linked bed. The top floor gives a couple extra privacy and stunning views. In the large garage you will find a tandem kayak, wetsuits, crabbing lines and lots of other 'toys' to enjoy this very special location. There is a tumble dryer and drying lines in the garage, perfect for all your wet beach gear. Outside there is a private garden which is a suntrap and is equipped with garden furniture, a bbq and space for a boat or trailer to be stored.
    The street is quiet and unlike other roads in Salcombe you can usually park outside your home. There is a mix of second homes and residents who live on the street. Everyone is really friendly and understand that visitors are the life blood of Salcombe.

    This lovely one bedroom apartment is set in one of Salcombe's most iconic buildings right in the town's centre. The well equipped apartment comes with use of the heated waterfront swimming pool (22nd May to 31st October only) communal gardens and also benefits from on-site parking (1 space) and boat mooring (5m max.). Salcombe offers a range of shops, bars and restaurants and is in close proximity to the many breathtaking beaches and miles of coastal path. Strictly no dogs or smoking allowed.
    A stunning bright and airy garden flat that opens out into well presented Communal Gardens adjacent to The Salcombe Estuary. The one bedroom flat comprises of a large open plan lounge/dining and kitchen area with sliding glass doors that lead out on to a private patio with outdoor table and chairs to accommodate up to 6 people. The bedroom, which also has sliding door access out on to the private patio and enjoying stunning views of the estuary, comprises of 2 single beds (which can be separated or pushed together for a couple) and a full size bunk bed, ideally suited for children. A travel cot can be arranged under separate request. There are 2 x further pull out beds in the lounge area, again this could be arranged under separate request but you would need to bring your own bedding for these. There is plenty of drawer space available in the bedroom and further hanging and shelving space available in the store cupboard. The bathroom has been recently refurbished and includes toilet, sink and a large walk in shower. There is also a mirrored cabinet for your toiletries to be stored, shaving plug and heated towel rail. We supply bath and hand towels as well as flannels and tea towels. However, we do not supply beach towels and would ask that you bring your own for use of the beach and swimming pool. There is WiFi available in the flat, a Smart TV, CD player and various books and games for adults and children. The outside private patio leads straight in to the Communal Gardens where you will find the heated swimming and paddling pool (22nd May to 31st October only) and access to the pontoon where you will have your very own boat mooring (5m max.) There is a water sports store next door to the flat if you need to store any equipment such as life jackets, kayaks, paddle boards etc. There is also a restaurant within the block of apartments that overlook the gardens called 'Dick and Wills', perfect for a sunset drink or dinner overlooking the water. The flat can be accessed either through the main building reception or through the garden. On arrival, please sign in to the register in the main reception with your car registration number. The gardens are completely secure and can only be accessed via a locked door either end of the garden. There is a separate shower and toilet available to be used by the swimming pool, these are shared with other guests. There are also further toilets found in the main reception. There is a laundry room available which is shared with other guests, this is located just down the corridor from the main reception. In here you will find coin operated washing machines and dryers.
    Salcombe, once a major fruit trade port, later found fame as a safe haven for family holidays and visiting yachtsmen. The town is situated at the Southern end of a 'Ria' - a landlocked, salt water inlet, with beautiful, safe, sandy beaches. A Marine Site of Special Scientific Interest, Marine Local Nature reserve and Area of outstanding Natural Beauty, the Ria is bordered by magnificent cliffs which form part of the South West coast Path, well-loved all year-round. Salcombe offers a wide range of restaurants, cafes, pubs and shops providing local produce whenever possible. Sample a Devon pasty, a cream tea, locally caught crab, Salcombe gin and Salcombe Dairy ice cream and chocolate - yummy! There is a large selection of national designer clothing shops and excellent independent retailers selling clothing, shoes, accessories and fashion jewellery. On Fore Street, Union Street and Island Street you will find an interesting mix of photographic and art galleries exhibiting a variety of work from local artists , alongside a children's soft play area and Salcombe Gin distillery, where you can even make your very own bottle of gin. The Salcombe Tourist Information Centre is situated on Market Street.

    Whinfield is a contemporary architect designed large open plan Salcombe home. It has three very spacious comfortable en-suite bedrooms. There is an open plan breakfast area and a garden patio to enjoy your breakfast in the morning sunshine.
    Herbert Road is a broad beech tree lined avenue leading into the town centre. From Whinfield there is just a 3 minute walk to the Spar corner shop. The many restaurants, cafes, shops and pubs in town are a 10 minute walk away. The lovely North Sands beach with the celebrated Winking Prawn cafe/restaurant (perfect for coffee and breakfast) is just a 15 minute walk away. Another 10 minutes beyond North Sands brings you to South Sands beach with kayak and paddle board hire, beach cafe and the South Sands Hotel Restaurant and Bar.     The large first floor open plan living/ dining room has sun-bathed views over the Salcombe estuary. The cottage is accessed via the one way street out of Salcombe and is perfectly situated for all that this beautiful town has to offer.
    Salcombe has a number of beautiful beaches and a range of costal and inland walks. The estuary is home to most watersports and is widely recognised by sailors. Surfing can be done in the esturary and 20 minutes away there are excellent surfing beaches. After a long day outdoors the town has a number of pubs and eateries selling good food local produce.

    Our home, which we love to share, is a traditional welcoming and well equipped detached house. It is recently refurbished with redecoration, new driveway and freshly landscaped private back garden. The expansive views are down the South Pool Creek and to Dartmoor, with a short albeit hilly walk down to Salcombe town with it's vibrant harbour. Beautiful beaches are close by as are numerous wonderful walks. Further afield are the many delights of the South Hams. All to be enjoyed in any season.
    We would like you to walk into our home, kick off your shoes, and put on the kettle or open a bottle of wine to unwind and begin your stay. We pride ourselves in offering a clean comfortable well equipped traditional house with a large garden to relax in, that will hopefully feel like home from home. The living room enjoys the wonderful views and has comfortable seating for six. There is a smart television with an HDMI cable provided. Chrome cast is available for use with your smart devices. The games room has a wide selection of adult and children's board games with some jigsaws if you would like to step back in time for your in house entertainment! The table in there is ideal for gathering around to "play games". There are also novels which you are welcome to read and if needed keep to finish when you get home. Replacements gratefully received. The traditional kitchen is well equipped and has up to date appliances. There is a delightful walk in pantry and the central table is the focus of most gatherings for both eating and communing. There are lots of pots, pans, mugs and glasses, crockery, cutlery etc. Even equipment for cake making if you fancy! We provide some fresh local bread, butter and milk to get you started. The pantry has a selection of basic foodstuffs which you are most welcome to use. There are three generous sized bedrooms all with individual wash-hand basins, built in wardrobes, chests of drawers, full length mirrors and comfortable beds. Bedside tables with easy access to power points are beside each bed. The front bedroom has a king size bed from which the beautiful views down the creek with stunning sunrises can be enjoyed. There are also chairs to sit quietly in the bay window and soak up the view. Maybe even escape for some peace! The comfortable double and twin bedrooms both overlook the patio and back garden. There is one bathroom with an electric Mira Sport shower, separate bath and wash hand basin. There are two separate toilets, one on each floor. At the back of the house is a large private enclosed garden with a patio and picnic bench with umbrella. We have extended the outdoor living space recently with more paved room for relaxing and sunbathing. The garden is a lovely sun trap in the afternoon, and ideal for eating outside on warm summer evenings. A charcoal barbecue is provided for your use. There is also a washing line in the garden. The house is gas centrally heated for the winter months making it a cosy retreat. Ample hot water is available at all times. Good internet connection is available throughout the house.
    Salcombe is a sailing centre with an array of gorgeous cove beaches both sides of the estuary. There are many fashion shops and great local pubs and restaurants to eat out. Ferries link you to East Portlemouth and Kingsbridge. The house sits about half way up the hill which affords good views but does mean you need to be prepared for a steep 5 minute walk down into town and a steep 10 to 15 minute climb back up. Kingsbridge is the delightful market town 7 miles away. It has many independent shops and two supermarkets. It also has a leisure centre with a 25m swimming pool. Totnes is an ancient interesting castle town to explore and is only half an hour away, and down the Dart valley from there lies the sailing centre of Dartmouth. There are an array of wonderful walks in the area including the South West coastal path and numerous countryside rambling routes. Many beautiful beaches lie slightly further afield, including surfing at Bantham beach and rock pooling at South Milton Sands. Enjoy the whole of the South Hams from your base in Salcombe. A little further afield you will find the moorland expanses and deep wooded valleys of Dartmoor to explore.

    We are in a very peaceful part of Salcombe, there is no light pollution. The roads are narrow but there is very little traffic, the views and walk into Salcombe are just lovely. If you prefer to be in the thick of things we are not for you but if you enjoy peace and tranquility we most definitely are.

    A light and airy Double/twin en-suite room in a private house in a quiet residential area in Salcombe with parking for one car on a private drive. Room key and front door key are provided. The room is serviced daily unless you prefer otherwise. It's a 6-10 minute walk down to Salcombe town to the shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. And of course Salcombe is the perfect place for days on the sandy beaches, coastal walking, sailing, boating trips, kayaking and paddle-boarding.
    The room can be let with either a kingsize bed or twin beds. It is equipped with Wi-fi, tv/radio, complimentary beverage tray and hairdryer. An iron and ironing board are available on request. The en-suite facilities include, electric shower, WC, wash hand basin and heated towel rail. Towels and toiletries are provided.
    Salcombe, Devon's Southern-most town, lies beside the Salcombe Estuary and is the ideal place to stay for a wide range of activities or just to chill! A short walk from Pengwern is the town centre with its shops, pubs and restaurants. Enjoy a wide range of local activities including, swimming, tennis, scuba-diving, sailing/boating, kayaking, Stand-up paddle boarding, fishing and surfing. Explore the coastal walks or just relax on one of the many beaches. Travel the estuary by ferry, one of the nicest ways to get around. Alternatively, just a short car-ride away visit the beautiful villages of Hope Cove, Bolberry and Soar or enjoy a game of golf overlooking the sea at Thurlestone or Bigbury. There's something for everyone in and around Salcombe!

    Modern, newly renovated guest house in the heart of Kingsbridge. Our old stables have been lovingly converted into a bright cosy space, while still retaining character of the past. Situated just off Fore Street through a quiet alleyway to a tranquil private south facing courtyard garden with private entrance. The perfect location to explore the stunning beaches and wonderful coastal walks of the beautiful South Hams countryside. Walkable to all amenities, restaurants, pubs and the estuary.
    The Space - Our cosy, quirky detached guest house has everything a couple, friends or small family would need for a relaxing stay. The open plan living and kitchenette is a perfect space to cook and relax. The kitchen is equipped with kettle, toaster, microwave, hob, small oven, pans and utensils to cook. The sofa converts as a small double bed for extra guests. There is WiFi, a smart T.V and a few games provided. The bathroom has a large new shower and towels. The separate double bedroom with cosy duvet has high ceilings and feature stone wall. It has enough room to fit a travel cot (available on request). There is a chest of draws and hangers. Just outside is a private sunny courtyard with seating to relax.
    Overview Kingsbridge is a friendly market town. Every other Saturday is the Farmers Market near the pretty estuary and every Wednesday is the local market produce in the Kings Cinema. There are lovely bakeries, coffee shops, cafes and restaurants to enjoy, all in walking distance from your guest house. Nearest amenities Supermarket - Tescos and Morrisons are less than 10 mins walking distance and a newsagent just a few shops up the road opens until late. Local produce - All on the high street are 3 yummy Bakeries, Alans apples is a local green groceries, 2 butchers and a great fish mongers. ATM & Banks- Just a few mins walk on high street. Activities South Hams is an incredible beautiful place, it is a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. With so many things to do and places to explore, It will be hard to choose between, coastal walks, trekking, surfing, paddle boarding, kayaking, sailing, horse riding, shopping and beach combing. It is also a fantastic place to just completely relax, unwind and kick back. There are beautiful estuaries for boating, paddle boarding and kayaking (we can help arrange hire). We are only 10 mins drive to Bantham the best surf beach in South Hams, 15 min drive to the beautiful Salcombe town and its beaches and to the pretty Hope cove, to name a few of the wonderful beaches to visit. South hams has an action packed calendar for the year of local events, from food and music festivals, regattas, art trails and many more.

    Whinfield is a contemporary architect designed large open plan Salcombe home. It has three very spacious comfortable en-suite bedrooms. There is an open plan breakfast area and a garden patio to enjoy your breakfast in the morning sunshine.
    Herbert Road is a broad beech tree lined avenue leading into the town centre. From Whinfield there is just a 3 minute walk to the Spar corner shop. The many restaurants, cafes, shops and pubs in town are a 10 minute walk away. The lovely North Sands beach with the celebrated Winking Prawn cafe/restaurant (perfect for coffee and breakfast) is just a 15 minute walk away. Another 10 minutes beyond North Sands brings you to South Sands beach with kayak and paddle board hire, beach cafe and the South Sands Hotel Restaurant and Bar. South Sands is the point of arrival and departure of the colourful South Sands ferry which will take you back to the quayside in Salcombe along the beautiful estuary. There's a ferry from The Ferry Inn in Salcombe to East Portlemouth taking you on a 3 minute trip to the many stunning sandy beaches across the estuary. Salcombe is also a staging post for one of the most dramatic and delightful stretches of the South West Coastal Path situated within our Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

A small ferry less than ten minutes from the cottage connects the town with the beautiful white sand beaches of east Portlemouth, and children will love crabbing off the estuary walls at the end of Island Street.

    Moorview is a well-equipped, two bedroom detached bungalow with a very large conservatory and secure garden at the rear. It's set back from the road leaving ample parking for two cars and a small dinghy. An extremely relaxing setting for a holiday in Salcombe with only a short walk to town where you will find a superb choice of shops, restaurants, coffee bars. A favourite walk is down Beadon lane to North Sands. The nearest grocery shop/post office is only a few minutes walk away.
    Our nice bright hallway leads to – one king-size bedroom and one double. In each room, you will find plenty of storage space and a hair dryer. Linen and towels are provided and the beds made up ready for your arrival. The hall leads on to the well-equipped kitchen which includes a double oven cooker, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine etc. The modern bathroom is also off the hall with an excellent shower over the bath. Our comfortable living room has two sofas (one a bed settee), 50” Samsung TV and double French doors which lead to the very large conservatory, which has a lounge and dining area, TV and hi-fi and a discrete unit housing a washing machine and tumble dryer. You will have a wonderful view of Dartmoor from here. Just a step through the patio doors takes you out to the decking area which has plenty of room for al fresco dining or just relaxing with a drink and a good book. If you fancy a BBQ there is one set up ready to use. Our large secure garden is perfect for our doggie visitors and family ball games!
    Found at the top of the town, a supermarket is close by, with all Salcombe town's facilities a walk down the hill. For a quick dog walk just a few steps away up the hill is The Berry. Here you will also find a children's play area.

    Townsend Barn has been converted into a well equipped 2 bedroom holiday cottage offering an ideal base for a couple or a couple with a baby. Private parking is available but for one car. The barn is detached and sits at the foot of the owner’s garden with private access and ample outside seating and eating space to enjoy. Free Wi-fi access is provided.
    The cottage offers a fantastic base for exploring the South Hams. Downstairs is an open plan kitchen /living space with a well equipped, thoughtfully presented kitchen area and cosy seating area for watching TV, or playing board games. A Nespresso machine is provided for guests use. There is also a small dining area and a separate cloakroom. A spiral staircase leads to the first floor which has a comfortable double bedroom with a view over the garden and beyond towards Hope Cove and a single room with a cot. There is a modern shower room with sink and toilet. Outside seating is provided.
    The cottage sits in the pretty village of Galmpton, nestling amidst beautiful South Devon rolling countryside. Hope Cove, a mile away, is a former fishing village and now home to lovely pubs and restaurants plus beaches and walks across stunning cliffs, with access to the SW Coast Path. Malborough lies a mile and a quarter away in the other direction, boasting 2 pubs, a petrol station and a well stocked convenience store. Less than 4 miles is Salcombe, famous as a sailing centre, a beautiful estuary and harbour. with spectacular walks over National Trust headlands with many beaches and coves. There is a stunning golf course 3 miles away at Thurlestone. The bustling market town of Kingsbridge with shops, cinema and leisure centre is 3 miles away. Walks to Hope Cove, the wonderful South Milton Beach, Soar Mill Cove, and Salcombe can all be started from Townsend without the need to start the car.

    Malborough is an attractive village set in the rolling hills of the South Hams, Devon . It sits within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty around two miles from the scenic holiday destination of Salcombe, and a similar distance from the beaches of Hope Cove . It’s also a waypoint on some fantastic coastal and countryside walks, making it a great option for walking holidays . NEARBY— From Malborough, simply follow Salcombe Road (A381) for two miles to reach Salcombe. A cycle/walking path runs alongside the road, making it a popular route for hikers. By heading south down Collaton Road , it’s also possible to take a direct route to either North Sands or South Sands. Pubs in Malborough Malborough has two thriving pubs The Royal Oak and The Old Inn The nearest supermarkets are in Kingsbridge, however Malborough has a petrol station, Co -op shop and a Post Office . Malborough is on the 606 bus route, which runs between Kingsbridge and Salcombe . There is also a Tally Ho bus that runs through Malborough to Hope Cove so ideal for anybody walking the coastal path .
