The Roost is the perfect place to spend a long weekend. Colin and Ann were ideal hosts; responsive yet respectful of our privacy. Pros: The space was immaculate and perfect for two people. Extra touches: pour over coffee with an electric kettle, super fluffy luxurious towels and bathrobes, pristine linens, a JBL speaker, cold beverages in the mini-fridge, fragrant rose in a beautiful crystal container. Quiet neighborhood, walking distance to town center. Cons: Overall space is very cozy (small) and while there is a full bathroom, showering is a bit awkward if you are a larger person (hubby is 5'11" and 200 lbs.). Full windows on 2 sides of room with white interior walls make the room very airy and bright which we loved, but if you are light sensitive, may need your eye masks. Due to room size, mini fridge and microwave on porch. Not a dealbreaker, but a little unusual. Overall, we highly recommend The Roost, thanks Ann and Colin for a wonderful stay and can't wait to return!

We only stayed one night as we were passing through Santa Rosa, but Geoffrey's place was just what we needed. Easy self check-in with clear instructions and parking right outside. The apartment was clean and comfy and we enjoyed the jigsaw puzzles. Would recommend.

We very much enjoyed our stay here. It was a perfect rental for a couple looking to explore Sonoma wine country! It’s very private, quiet, and is exactly as the listing. The decor is thoughtful and well done. The bed was comfy and the shower had great pressure. Having a pool and hot tub are great bonuses. It’s about a 30 minute walk to the square and great restaurants/bars. The Girl and the Fig is a must and Mary’s pizza shack had great pizza. If you’re extra lucky you’ll get a visit from Penny the Whippet - definitely one of our highlights! You won’t be disappointed with this rental as your wine country home away from home.

The cottage location was conveniently located. Chip provided great recommendations for restaurants and things to do in the area. The cottage was simple but contained all of the necessities for a comfortable stay.

Could not recommend this airbnb more. This cozy yet spacious spot was the perfect place for our stay in Sonoma. The neighborhood was quiet but a couple minutes drive from everything fun downtown. The bed was comfortable, Kate was responsive, and she clearly thinks through all the details a guest could need during their stay.

Thanks again Eliza and Kevin for a magical stay! And thank you for helping Jeff design his pool. We will be referring all our friends to your very special spot in Sonoma!!

What a gem! I absolutely loved waking up to the birds chirping while staying in this cozy, charming flat. The garden was a lovely place to sit and sip tea in the late morning; lots in bloom and smelled incredible! The flat has gorgeous light and it was a wonderful place to write in the mornings. I had everything I needed to make meals but I also enjoyed checking out a few of Lisa and Dana's recommended restaurants. They were very friendly and responsive - fabulous hosts! Being in a flat separate from the main house provides privacy but is great in case you need anything from the hosts. The bed was very comfortable and the towels felt plush and new. You will have a very comfortable and enjoyable stay, regardless if you stay cozy in the flat or head out to explore Sebastopol and wine country nearby. I highly recommend and hope to be back again soon!

This place was incredible and everything my Girlfriend and I were hoping for. Very peaceful, beautiful view on top of a mountain where you could see the fog in the distance beneath you, great friendly vibes from the owners around the property, and an awesome lookout for the stars at night. Like the reviews before me, it is important to mention the temperature fluctuation in the area where it drops to the 50s after 10pm but stays around 70-80 midday. So, it does get a little hot in the loft where you sleep if you decide to sleep earlier than 10pm. That being said, we managed well with the fans and opening the windows for airflow. It's also important to mention the drive to the Airbnb. I was comfortable with windy turns/tight roads up the mountain, but I can understand how it may be uneasy for some. It is around a 15min drive up the mountain, but it feels longer since you are concentrating the whole time. A very sweet older dog visits the Airbnb every morning! I think his name was Iggy

It was such a cute little place so cozy and great views of the lake and lots of wildlife to enjoy. I’m sure we’ll come again.

Very comfortable and well finished casita on a beautiful property. A very quick drive to local parks and other stores to address all needs. Also just a 13 minute drive into Healdsburg to enjoy the great food scene and everything else it has to offer. The caretaker on the property was always available if we needed anything including fresh eggs from the property chickens! Very high levels of communication from the owner as well! Be aware that if you are used to blazing fast internet and need to work from there, this could be a challenge. We lived in a similar situation re internet so not a shock for us…just take note. We enjoyed our stay and will return if possible!

Jeremiah and Mari’s place was the most generosity stocked with amenities and luxurious bedding I’ve experienced in an Airbnb or hotel. Trying to navigate my way forward from a traumatic loss, I found at Jeremiah and Mari’s a large bouquet of what looked like home grown roses waiting for me, along with fresh coffee beans, almond milk, and beautiful and pristine furnishings. It literally brought tears to my eyes. Their place is also very private, and a 3 minute walk to a large bookstore, theater, Michelin recognized restaurants, coffee, yoga, etc. Five stars.

We had a wonderful weekend stay at the Bucher cottage. From our perspective, it's a brand new one-bedroom home overlooking their winery. It's stunning. You have a beautiful deck to enjoy the morning views and a covered area to enjoy dining outside. The location is just 10 minutes from downtown Healdsburg and is surrounded by family owned wineries. We chose this weekend to partake in the Dry Creek Passport event for our anniversary. They provided us with a complimentary bottle of their Pinot Noir that was excellent! Had we had more time we would have toured their winery and participated in a more extensive wine sampling experience with the owners. We would absolutely stay there again for the experience of truly being part of wine country.

We spent a week at Anita's place, it is very nice, private, and comfortable. The home is located in a very quiet, safe, and walkable neighborhood containing many restaurant choices including the highly rated El Molino. It is 2.5 miles from the Sonoma Square, less to the historic General Vallejo's home, and nearby hiking at the Montini reserve trail with gorgeous views of the Sonoma Valley. Communication with the hosts was easy. They are welcoming and accommodating making our stay very enjoyable. Their dog, Oisin, is one of the best behaved I have met and added another layer of fun to our stay. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this Airbnb. We hope to stay again. Anita is definitely a superhost!

Another great stay! This apartment works great for me and my two small children. Cozy, clean and comfortable with everything we need provided. The kids loved playing in the little backyard in between rainstorms! And the hosts are lovely people. We plan to stay here every time we visit Ukiah :)

My second stay at Kerri’s place! We had a great time again, location is perfect for exploring the redwoods and the coast. The house and garden are beautiful, and for us a big plus is that they’re dog friendly as well :)

We loved our stay at the Dojo! Jim is truly a super host! My college girlfriends and I stayed for a long weekend while exploring wine country. Jim thought of every detail to make our stay wonderful. He left us a bottle of wine and snacks. There was coffee, shampoo/conditioner, makeup wipes, lists of recommendations. The place was spotless and the beds very comfortable. Highly recommend!

James & Laurie are the best! Warm, friendly, extremely helpful. Their place was clean, comfortable, fully equipped, private & quiet. Loved hearing the owls in the nearby woods at night (not too noisy). Highly recommend, would stay here again.

My husband and I had an excellent visit at Nicole’s cottage. We travel often to Sebastopol and this was one of our favorites stays! Great location and the home was so cozy and comfortable. Nicole answered all out questions quickly and we just loved staying here. Appreciated the home baked cookies on arrival. Highly recommended!

Very clean and pleasant spot near downtown, with a private patio. The unit is above garages (so you don't hear anyone downstairs). Comfy bed. Well-equipped kitchen. It's tucked back from the street, but from the bedroom you can hear a little bit of the E. Washington traffic (less than a block away). We'd stay here again.

Pros: Very private and peaceful. Essentially it’s a cleverly renovated deep 2-car garage. The vaulted ceiling gives a feeling of space and the layout is efficient. The two outdoor spaces are also private and one is cut into the hill so we never closed the curtains on that side. Bed was very comfortable and the shower was great. It’s really quiet with the windows closed and if they are open, there is muted traffic and minor, charming animal sounds from the goats and chickens. Best behaved dogs ever. Zero barks noted in four days. Try that at home. Cons: There really aren’t any, but I figure I need to complain about something or my review will seem falsely positive. So here we go: the bar sink is pretty small so washing up is not as easy as at home. That said, were it any larger, it would intrude on the small counter so let’s leave that alone. Summary: perfect spot for a couple who wants privacy and peace. If the rooster bothers you, close the window.

Amy and Tom are terrific hosts- this is our second stay with them! Their place is private and extremely quiet with a nearby mountain stream. The Airbnb is easily accessible to both Sonoma and Napa valleys, numerous great restaurants, and hiking trails. We will be back next year!

Nice and convenient to Harbin Hot springs. close to grocery and a few restaurants. Nice country area with great view of mountains and horses. Peaceful except for a bit of road noise, but it wasn't too bothersome. We would have appreciated some better quality bathroom towels, washcloths, more dishtowels etc. Jakob responded right away to questions about heater and lack of washcloths. He brought some wash cloths over with an hour. overall, very nice stay. Would recommend this place as good value.
