Perfect stay in impeccable accomodation, Tony was very welcoming and his house is perfect and functional with good facilities. Tony offered us an amazing breakfast and prepared scrambled eggs for us, thank you again for this welcome. I recommend Tony's accomodation.

I normally leave 5 stars because everything is fine or as expected, but I would leave this place 6 stars if I could. It’s far and away the best AirBnB I have stayed at. The place itself is very tranquil, homey and a great spot to unwind, yet also only 5 minutes into town for restaurants. Melana was such a great host from offering a welcome drink and snack, to giving local restaurant suggestions, to providing a choice of hot breakfast in the morning. I only stayed one night, but would definitely seek her place out again the next time I’m back in the area.

Absolutely lovely B&B after the Timber Trail. Many of the timber trail guides up in Ongarue seem to live in the area and are therefore happy to give a ride. The room was clean, comfortable, and nice artifacts and decor around the house, which feels like a French manor. (Also 3 friendly cats and a dog, and breakfast waiting for us downstairs in the morning.)

Beautiful getaway experience! Amazing views, green grass, yummy breakfast and loved the private spa! The only thing the chalets need are privacy screens between each other to ensure extra privacy as you can see directly into another’s chalet/porch area

This place is well worn, but comfy and the host extremely warm and welcoming. Really appreciated the cleanliness of the shared showers and toilets, and the mound of fluffy white towels that were provided. Great atmosphere, with guests from 4 countries sitting around exchanging experiences long into the evening. 100% would stay here again.

Thanks so much to the Kings ppl, we had a great stay. There’s a drying room for gear, a lovely restaurant and they did a breakfast bagel to take away which filled me & kids up to dinner! A great place.

I had a wonderful stay at Joanne’s who was friendly, helpful and made me instantly feel at home. We had great conversations. My room was lovely and I had a great night’s sleep. The breakfast was delicious especially due to all the homemade options. Would highly recommend to anyone. I look forward to my next visit.

We spent the Easter weekend at Brett and Penny’s beautiful home. The neighbourhood is beautiful and peaceful and downhill you can find a kayak hire place for a paddle in the lake. Communication with Brett and Penny was on point, with helpful information and instructions. The room was comfortable and the bathroom was clean and with a great hot water pressure. We also used the hot pool after long days of cycling. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting to have a restful holiday in Taupō.

Best stay since arriving in New Zealand two weeks ago. Lovely spacious rooms and bathroom with a comfy bed. Lots of little extras laid on. Lovely continental breakfast included. We really loved our stay.

Don’t hesitate to book this little gem. Everything was perfect, so clean and the bed very comfortable. The hostess was very quick to respond and from day one we booked till departure it went smoothly. I totally recommend !! The view is outstanding and the breakfast was really a great plus !

Seen a few reviews on here that gave us a few doubts before we came however… this place is awesome! Yes it’s small, no kitchenette and it’s a communal kitchen BUT depending on your travels this place is great!!! We stayed 2nights and did the Tongariro Crossing hike. The room was very clean and was exactly what we needed in the most simplest form. The trains came about 3 times we were there and didn’t bother us at all. The continental breaky was awesome. The spa was better than what I’ve seen written here, it was only 38 degrees but that was fine. Great place
