Traditional Norwegian cabin in the mountains, on island Stord, in outer Hardanger fjord in Norway. Without electricity and running water. The lodge opposition entirely for himself, one hour's walk from the road. Great scenery and good fishing for small trout and swimming in the river nearby. Stove and fireplace. Record fish catch by tourists- 110 small trout on some days. You get mountain map and recommended hikes from the host. Overall alone in nature. No other tourists. Welcome.

O espaço
This is for you who want to live easily in nature. Experience the silence. Just the sound of the river, the birds and the wind.

The walk up to the lodge starts from Highway 545 on the island's west coast. There is some local buses, otherwise it's easy and free to park your own car.
You get a map and keycode at the parking lot, before your hike. It's easy to find the lodge.
Rubber boots or mountain shoes are recommended. And back sack to carry your luggage in. You have to bring your own food and drink. Drinking water is available near the cabin. Halfway through the trip, there are some steep slopes, otherwise it is a relatively easy hike. No climbing. On the hike and at the cabin, you will not meet other tourists. The chance to meet people at all, is small.

This lodge located entirely for themselves, and there are no neighbors. Only nature. If you follow the trail further into the mountain in 30 minutes, you come to 3-4 other small private cabins that rarely used by locals.
At the lodge you will find a folder of useful information and maps with haiking recommendations. Clean bedlinen and towels is ready for you.
NB! Being in Norwegian nature and in a mountain cabin requires focus on fire safety.
You can find blueberries in the area, cranberries and opportunity to find chanterelle.

Fishing:
Fishing is popular here. There are many small and big lakes. These are tied together with waterfalls, rivers and streams, all of which are full of small trout. Everyone can fish for free. To catch small trout in the river, you need maggots or worms for bite. In the mountains is hard to find worms. Anyway, worms can be purchased by the host (5 Euro) or picked by yourself before you go up to the lodge. Simple fishing equipment for fishing trout in the river is available for free at the lodge. Some guests have actually caught 110 pieces of trout on some days. For fishingfor in a mountain lake, please bring your own fishing gear. The fishing season is from May two October. Outside of this period it is not possible two catch fish

The cottage is from early review eighties, and is approximately 45 square. It is fully insulated, yet it is cold at Arrivals in Port when there is no heating possibility outside wood stove and fireplace. It's a typical Norwegian tradition cabin, such as the cabins were 40 years ago. Ver cozy and a dream for many today to experience cabin coziness in classic style.
The toilet is a simple and decent outhouse, also with panoramic views over the countryside.

Beds:
One bedroom is available. Bunk bed with 120x200 and 75x200 mattresses. Floor mattress 75x200 to have in the living room or outside on the terrace.

All the necessary equipment for cooking and serving is available. Hot food is made on the wood stove.
Outdoor shoes not allowed inside.

This place has an imposed token fee (30 Euro) to clarify beds and wash sheets and the towel before and after use. In order to keep the fee as low as possible I expect you to leave the apartment as clean and pure as when you arrived.
Anyway, if you would like to buy the final cleaning and not spend your vacation cleaning, we can offer this service for a very low price. You decide this yourself when you check out.

If you not traveling with your own car, I can provide transportation from the ferry dock in Sandvikvåg to the parking spot "Dalshaugane". Price 20 Euro.
Host rents out bicycles at parking area, if you want to ride around in the lowlands a while. If you rent the cabin for several days, and wish you down to civilization a time, you are welcome to use the port and the boats in the big lake, at home of the host.
An hour's walk from the lodge. This offer absolutely free.

Scandinavia is far to the north. Norway and Western Norway is famous for its breathtaking scenery and spectacular fjords.
The closest major airport is Bergen Airport. On the island of Stord is also a small airport with daily flights to and from Oslo.
From Denmark Fjord Line daily ferry to Kristiansand, Stavanger or Bergen.
Stord is an island outermost Hardangerfjorden, two hours from Bergen. About 20,000 people living on the island.
There are hospitals and anything else of help settings considers and facilities.

Middle of the island of Stord consists of wild mountain areas, with peaks of up to 750 meters above sea level with beautiful views. In area's many hiking paths and trails that makes migration of this nature even easier. Here is an abundance of bird and wildlife. Deer, hares, eagles and other birds are a common meeting here.

The area has large and fascinating climatic variations during the year. In winter, temperatures can go down to minus 15, it may be snow, and mountain lakes are frozen. On hot summer days around 30 degrees plus, and the water in the river close to the cabin can have a nice bath temperature of over 23 degrees, between 4 pm and 6 pm.
Anyway, Norways Westcoast is known for a lot of precipitation in the form of rain. You get more enjoyment from nature by bringing rain clothes and waterproof boots.
Biting midges, from about 15 June to 15 October. This bastard can be anoyes at humid and windless days. Not dangerous, just annoying.
Ticks and viper can be found in the area but not heard anyone who has been infected by them.
Also light varies. In winter there is daylight only 6-7 hours, in summer 18 to 19 hours.
There is good mobile coverage in total area.
