This is a nice historic find, a walk away from Southern Virginia University campus. It feels very safe, since it is next to the police station. It is also near the train tracks. Everything is as described and very clean -- bathrooms were cleaned everyday. Check in/out is easy.

The host was very friendly and very helpful with anything that was needed. the house had beautiful views and the apartment had lots of available kitchen appliances. With 6 cats on the property it is a perfect place for cat lovers!

Nice views, peaceful setting. Plenty of space for a family of 4. Chessie Trail was great for running in the mornings, just a 1/2 mile from the house. We were there for a horse show and did not get to explore the area too much, but certainly seemed like there was plenty of hiking opportunities if we had more time.

Such a beautiful and comfortable home away from home! We loved the convenience to Downtown Lexington, and the home could not have been more perfect! Comfortable, beautifully decorated, and all the extras made it so wonderful. We loved the screened in porch, fire pit, and the views across the street. The host is very responsive and friendly! Highly recommend!!

We stayed at Erin's place while visiting our son and W&L. We were able to easily walk to the campus and all our favorite restaurants. The apartment is charming, comfortable and has everything you could need in the kitchen. We've already booked a return stay!

The best place I ever stayed

This Virginia home was absolutely stunning—peaceful, scenic, and felt like something out of a movie. The house was spotless, beautifully updated, and incredibly comfortable. The host went above and beyond to provide all the essentials and thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. After traveling from Florida, the cozy beds were a lifesaver. Our son had an amazing time outdoors, especially around the fire pit and playing horseshoe. We also enjoyed seeing the nearby animals, which made the stay even more fun for the whole family. One of our favorite Airbnb stays so far—we’ll definitely be back! It made my graduation weekend 10x better as I already nervous to walk across the stage. Thank you Ashley and John!!

We absolutely loved staying at Martha's home. It was spacious, clean and surrounded by beauty. Just a short drive into town where you can get great food, coffee and shopping, as well as a short drive to many hikes. We brought our dog, who has a lot of energy and hiked him every day we were there. Martha had a little welcome basket for us when we arrived and was always reachable by phone. The beds and sheets were so comfortable that our friends actually looked up the brand of sheets and bought their own set! If we are ever in need of staying in the Lexington area again, we would stay at Martha's home in a heartbeat.

Photos do not do this house justice- the view is impeccable, it’s large enough to accommodate many more people than we had in our party, it was immaculate, and it was lovingly stocked. A perfect landing pad for Lexington and the Valley. We’re just sad we only stayed one night! Already considering a return trip.

Great location, close to the river for fishing. Place was clean and plenty of space. The screened in porch is really nice. Would definitely recommend!!

Our stay at Manor House was very relaxing and enjoyable. We loved the mountain views and beautiful landscapes of the property. My grandchildren enjoyed fishing in the pond and visiting the peacock and chickens. They totally wore themselves out hiking, swinging and running about. The house was very spacious and comfortable with all accommodations true as listed. We plan on returning in the future. Thank you for sharing this historic paradise!

Beautiful location. House was perfect for 4 adults and 3 kids. Beds were comfortable. The bunk bed room and a large bedroom upstairs are connected and share a bathroom. Primary bedroom is on the main floor with an en suite. Older kids appreciated the two separate bedrooms in the basement close to the theater and air hockey table. Kitchen was well stocked. Be conscious of the speed limit and the neighbors.
