Unusually for the centre of town, the property has a secluded garden, including an area of lawn and a large deck for al fresco dining. Please note, this is my permanent home. I vacate the property and ensure adequate storage (empty drawers, cupboard and hanging space). I do not remove all my personal effects.

Magical 300 year old thatched cottage, lovingly restored into the ultimate countryside retreat- pet friendly, hot tub, roll top bath and a stones throw from the local pub... Nestled in the historic village of Cockington, Higher Lodge was originally the gardeners cottage and a gate house to Cockington Court. Surrounded by 250 acres of landscaped gardens, woodland walks and only 5 minutes drive from the beach, this romantic hideaway is the perfect place to escape the every day.

Having undertaken a major modernisation the cottage retains many historical features . Sleeping 6 in 3 double bedrooms there is a large kitchen diner , sitting room with log burner , bathroom with bath and separate shower and a downstairs cloakroom . The enclosed small garden to the rear offers lovely views and the opportunity to star gaze at night . We allow flexible check in and check out times if there are no bookings either side. One dog is welcome for a small booking fee.
