We walked in and the Christmas tree lights were on and Christmas music was playing. It was lovely. It's a beautiful home and very cozy. Having a bedroom and full bath downstairs makes a difference for many of us (young and older) who may have trouble navigating the stairs to the second floor. This location is nice and quiet yet close to all the essentials. I spoke with Dottie before our stay and she was very nice, helpful, and informative. Thank you again Dottie! This must be one of the best air bnb’s that we stayed at. Lovely home , beautiful surroundings,close to Acadia national park and bar harbor. We would definitely be back next year and would recommend this to our family and friends.

LOVED Tj's place! Wish I were staying there for vacation purposes, instead it was just while I was moving and movers had already taken all my furniture. But, right when you walk in, there's the water... The interior felt like home. Was able to walk down to a restaurant and there's a park across the street and a smaller one right next to the house. Didn't get to use the kayak since it was snowing... :-) Highly recommend Tj's home for whatever purpose. I will definitely try to get this home when I make it back up there!

We had a great time and really enjoyed the location. It was so peaceful and relaxing. We never wanted to leave. It had everything we needed and was perfect for our family of 5.

Beautiful location, accommodating host and very responsive and flexible. The place is a hidden gem right next to the lake. It is in a very secluded setting, definitely worth it.

Leslie’s home is exactly that, cozy, spacious, beautiful, peaceful, but above all it feels like a real home. Leslie was welcoming and gracious, she went above and beyond, I would certainly consider her a friend after staying there. I highly recommend this spot!

This was our second stay with Devon and as usual it did not disappoint! It is exactly what we needed for a quiet getaway. It is very serene with sounds of the Loons echoing across the lake. Did not see a car or person in 4 days which was great. Devon was always in touch if needed and accommodating. Great kitchen with everything needed for a snack or a full meal. A very relaxing stay!

I could not overstate the beauty and peacefulness of this location. Good proximity to Bar Harbor and Acadia but private with stunning views. The description and photos are accurate, we found the host responsive and welcoming. Would definitely recommend!

LOVED this little cottage steps from the lake! Robert was super responsive and had the place all lit up and warmed up for us when we arrived. He has thought of everything that a vistor might need (and then some). We were there to visit the university and it was a dreary rainy weekend, but the lake was still beautiful. Despite the weather, we were able to get a campfire going on our first night. Thank you Robert for the dry wood, the pre-set starter fire pit and the decks of cards! The setting and house were charming, and the proximity to the university and Bar Harbor served us well.

This was our second stay at Brian's place, and it was just as beautiful and peaceful as we remembered. The serene atmosphere and stunning views made it the perfect getaway. Brian was a fantastic host, and we truly felt at home. We will definitely be back!

Amazing place, it was exactly what we needed.

My husband and I stayed here over Veterans Day weekend. The home was super clean and comfortable, with lots of thoughtful touches throughout. We had everything we needed and more. The view of the water was beautiful, and we had a great time taking out the kayaks and watching the waterfowl. It was peaceful and quiet the whole time we were there. The hosts were very responsive and kind. We would definitely stay again!

I loved this place! Enjoying coffee and meals outside on the deck overlooking the lake and beautiful surroundings of nature. I felt safe there and was a charming neighborhood. I loved that there were boats to use and a dock to watch sunset an autumn harvest moon over lake! Jess was the perfect host and made sure everything was great when I arrived. She was very helpful when I had any questions and I am looking so forward to going back there again! Thank you Jess for sharing this wonderful place!!!

Connor was an AMAZING host! From the very beginning, he was always very responsive, and was consistently available to answer my questions promptly. His cabin on the lake was so cozy, it truly felt like our home away from home. It was beautifully decorated, peaceful, serene, well-stocked with anything that one could need. His recommendations were extensive and were very much appreciated. We were celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary and really loved being able to stay there with friends for a few days before departing for another excursion. It gave us time to celebrate and make some great memories with them - something that we will always treasure! The worst thing about this cabin? - Having to leave it in the rearview mirror! A great private place to stay when visiting Acadia! Only about 40 minutes away from Bar Harbor.

The cabin was very comfortable, quiet, and just as described. Everything you need for cooking is already there. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, wifi was amazing. We went kayaking one day and it was beautiful. There are tons of rocks just below the surface of the water near the islands but you can see them because the water is so clear. The drive to the cabin is a long gravel road and thankfully we have 4WD because it might have been harder to get up the driveway from the cabin if we didn’t. There were loons on the pond every day and night but they were fun to see and hear. We also had some hummingbirds visit the feeder at the cabin and loved watching them our whole stay. The water from the faucet is from the lake but it’s so clear you almost wouldn’t know it. I would highly recommend staying here if you want a quiet, natural place to relax.

We felt very at home. The place is even better than the pictures. Nice walking trails near house. The walk to the dock is a little steep, so walk carefully, especially at night. We are already looking forward to staying with Christopher next year!

We had a freaking BLAST at the Roxie tiny cabin. It is extremely admirable how much fun Sherri and Joel have managed to pack into a small space without making it feel cluttered or crowded at all. We loved using the two hammock chairs, cooking over the fire (so many great cooking tools here!) and slept great. Getting to paddleboard around the lake to see turtles and other wildlife was an added plus. I am now addicted to axe throwing as well :) great spot run by wonderful people

Comfy little cabin in the woods! We enjoyed having a fire in the fire place as it got pretty chilly at night. Relaxed in the screen room and played games one afternoon. The bed was comfortable and the view waking up in the morning was wonderful! Loved the LED mirror! Close to Belfast…we went to the indoor farmers market there on Saturday. Lots of goodies, and a nice view of the bay. We parked down at the mill one day and visited The Lost Kitchen venue. Then walked down to the Hills to Sea trail entrance and enjoyed a lovely walk thru the woods. Never did get to use the kayaks. The walk up and back to the lake might be a bit steep for some so just a heads up on that. Dan and Julia were very communicative and they provided binders with lots of local information. Nice and peaceful escape! Thanks so much!
