We LOVED our stay at the Depot! Though it is small, it's efficient and doesn't feel cramped or crowded--and still had everything we needed. Décor is eclectic and mismatched (which I found cute and homey), and it was all clean, usable, and arranged thoughtfully. The instructions for the lock and amenities were clear, so we had no trouble. With no TV set (though there is free WIFI and an Alexa device), a biking trail right outside, and water that took a minute to warm up, this sweet little rental encouraged us to be patient, relax, and take in our surroundings--definitely a good thing! The art sculptures around town were a fun surprise, too. Main Street was just a couple blocks away, where we had a delicious dinner at the Classic Café, and the service was great! We watched rabbits and birds, and chatted with cyclists visiting the biking trail. The atmosphere of the whole place is informal, welcoming, and friendly. We'd definitely stay again!

The cabin was very nice! The shower was great! Had a slight issue with the toilet and it was fixed while we were gone. Great service!

Loved this cabin! So cute and quiet! It was also spotless when we came in and we were even able to check in early. Host was quick with responding as well! Definitely will come back!

Overall great stay, may not be for everyone with some of the hunting decor but it very much gives off cozy cabin vibes which more than accommodated for our needs. A full kitchen of pots and pans made it very easy for a great homemade breakfast. Had a small issue getting into the cabin initially but this would be an oversight on my end as Mike had put the enter/check-in code in the initial message with me. Would definitely book again! 5/5

We had a very nice stay. The beautiful cabin is in a lovely setting . We really enjoyed exploring and the surrounding areas and hiking in different spots. The scenery is amazing with so many beautiful farms . Some of our favorite things to do now in retirement. (hiking and exploring!) Great Mexican restaurant right in Viroqua for those who enjoy eating out . We would definitely come back!

We knew our daughter (4 years old) had off school a couple days around Easter, so we figured we would do a mini family getaway together to make some happy memories. She loves trains and treehouses, so we asked her to choose which one she'd enjoy most. She happily chose the train caboose, and it was a great choice that we all appreciated! The area scenery is beautiful, Decorah has many great shops downtown, tasty restaurants that we enjoyed, and gorgeous scenery all over that we loved seeing as a family. We feel blessed to have found this fun location, and loved its charming look. The horses on the property were a delightful bonus too, as we are a family of animal-lovers.

I cannot say enough lovely things about Gale’s cute little farm abnb stay. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the very friendly Flo and Batcat. The little farm cottage was easy to find, with a lifted concrete parking pad. There were crackers left in the mud room for us to say hi to their 3 goats. Cottage itself is spacious. The farm is quiet and peaceful, a nice little staycation. We were served a delicious and warm breakfast, served w fresh fruit, muffins, and cookies. Gale’s hospitality and communication exceeded most abnbs I have stayed at over the years. Highly recommend!

The cabin was just what we needed. It was so nice and cozy for my husband and I, and the surrounded area was absolutely beautiful. Hope to stay there again in the future.

Laura was able to accomodate a very last minute booking for us as we and our 2 pups were passing through needing a place to stay. Her property is just beautiful.. sadly it was a rainy morning so we had to stay in, but I know our pups would have LOVED running around her place!

Absolutely amazing place to stay for a private and romantic get away. The place itself was perfect for my husband and I to have quality time together and the property itself was stunning and a great place to disconnect from the hustle and bustle. You can hear the babbling of the stream and the birds speak throughout the day, by night you are illuminated by lights from the stars and you can hear the owls speak. We absolutely loved the fire place outside and enjoyed it and the trails on the property immensely. We will definitely be back!

We felt right at home at this lovely property. No matter what brings you to this area, you’ll find this place to be the perfect semblance of home and peace. Carol and David were wonderful hosts and were already planning to make the 11.5 hour trip back.

Charming little secluded cottage next to the Platte River. Close enough to all the amenities in Kearney. The host goes the extra mile in ensuring the guests will have an enjoyable visit! She provided clear and easy instructions for check in & out, and was very responsive to messages!

I love that this place is in an area where you can just relax and have peace and quiet no city noises, it’s easy to find and I loved that you can go outside and talk a walk and sit on the swings and just have coffee and look out into an open area.

It was very nice and looked like the pictures. The Dock Side restaurant has great food and everyone was very friendly! We really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again!

This was one of our favorite stays. The location is so serene and rejuvenating. Joanna and Jonathon were very friendly, responsive, and accommodating. The place felt very homey and comfortable. The surrounding area has a lot of natural beauty, history, and places to explore. Everyone in the small towns was very friendly and welcoming. We had booked one night and then decided to book another because it was such a peaceful, unique spot. We hope to get back there for another stay!

I really enjoyed the secluded feel to the tiny home and it felt really cozy. I stayed there for several weeks but I think the place is more suited for shorter term stays since it runs on a gas generator. The tiny home had nice touches like low sensory lighting, a balcony off the bed and even hiking trails around the premise. I highly HIGHLY recommend trying the lavender farms cocoa mix. They provide you with some of their products in the Airbnb and that was a really lovely touch. I definitely want to come back and try out the treehouses.

Loved it!!!! This place was amazing for my family of three and our dogs. It was so peaceful and Paul is an excellent host. He gave us fresh farm eggs and fresh milk. We will definitely stay there again!!

Hygge Haus is a wonderful find! We have been traveling to Decorah for ever 6 years now - making multiple trips per year. Hygge Haus ranks right up there! We loved the distance from the main street, and yet it is easily walkable, and absolutely enjoyable in good weather. Hosts clearly think of every detail, and succeed in making you feel comfortable and at home. Lots of clear instructions and notes. The back garden is a nice little retreat as well. We would definitely recommend to anyone.

This was genuinely the best stay I have ever had in my life. Better than any hotel, or any type of stay. The host had very clear instructions, after we checked in we were just left to ourselves! The cabin is beautiful. Peaceful. With great water streams nearby, and the Des Moines River. Incredibly quiet. Easy to access. The place was perfectly clean, with every little thing we would have wanted. All we had to do was bring some groceries, and everything fell into place. Just as described. A nice week of turning our phones completely off, and just exploring the local towns. Who says you can't vacation in small town Iowa? I highly recommend this place. Worth every Penny!

I needed a place of quiet and peace for a weekend and this was exactly that! My two dogs and I enjoyed the space and view of the river.
