The Shelter

With wooden interior and carpeted floors with free standing fireplace, our accomodation is both spacious yet cosy. The master bedroom has a cabin feel to it with a comfy bed and views out onto farmland. The Loft is a spacious cosy area with low ceilings which the teenagers will love but tall people may not enjoy it as it's only about 1.75 cm at the highest point . large couches for watching netflix or relaxing on the deck. we are not set up for young children and think it's best suited to 8+ age

Mountain Lake Lodge

Our self contained apartment offers unique semi rural accommodation with amazing mountain views suited for tourists & travelers to enjoy all our region offers. Relax in the living area with comfortable lounging, dining table with full kitchen incl. dishwasher. Indulge yourself in a luxury queen size bed. A second bedroom offers a king single. A sofa bed is available if needed. A continental breakfast is provided. Cooked breakfast available weekends $15 per person. Laundry $10 wash & dry

The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

River and Catch Lodge

Set among spectacular mountain and river views. This Solar powered lodge features gas cooking and instant gas hot water, giving you the perfect blend of sustainability and luxury in the heart of nature. Relax in the outdoor bath overlooking the river. Catch whitebait, flounder, trout and mullet if you bring a fishing line. Horses welcome bring them to ride over 160 hectares of beautiful farmland, complete with cross-country jumps. There is no oven or microwave but a gas stove top and BBQ.

Sunset Beach House

Kick back and relax in this calm, stylish space, with amazing views of the sunset. Fully renovated in 2020 Cook a delicious meal in the well equipped kitchen, then dine on your choice of decks to soak up the rural or sea views. Just a 7 minute walk to the popular Castlecliff beach for a swim or take a stroll along the black sandy beach, call into the Citadel for a meal or drink on the way home. Ohakune is an hours drive to enjoy the great walks or skiing. 4 square and laundromat close by

McArthur Park B&B with views of Mt. Taranaki

Welcome to McArthur park, located minutes from Hawera with views of Mt Taranaki . Enjoy a spacious super king bedroom with views of the garden and the mountain. A second queen bedroom is available for an additional $30 per night per person. Both bedrooms access a sunny kitchenette area to enjoy a delicious continental breakfast. Cosy guest sleep out with sauna on dairy farm

* No cleaning fees :) * Relax and unwind on our small peaceful farm guest sleep out. One bedroom one bathroom sleep out with kitchenette. One king size bed and a pull out sofa bed. Would suggest this for children only for the limited room. Can provide a travel cot for infants if organised in advance. 10 mins drive away from Kai Iwi beach and a 20-25mins drive to Whanganui. We are situated on the main highway but far enough to not hear traffic. Great location for kids to run around.

Our home is a 3 bedroom modern stand alone house with internal garaging the 1st room has a single and room for extra mattresses ,2nd room a king bed and 3rd room is a sunny conservatory with a queen bed.The house is 13 years old and is insulated and has double glazed windows very warm. Nearby sites include patea shops and museum ,Dawson Falls and Tawhiri Museum,Patea Beach,Taranaki ski fields,rail trail,Gateway to surf hwy and the forgotton hwy. Hawera 27.7km,Hurleyville Dam 39km,

Retreat to Kokako Cottage

Cute fully renovated cottage nestled in a large garden. Very separate and private from the main house. Quiet and peaceful with beautiful views, on clear days both Mt Taranaki and Mt Ruapehu can be seen from the large deck. Relax in a hot bath outside to enjoy the view or the stars. Weber Bbq on the deck & a cosy fire to light inside. Beds will all be freshly made, and towels in the bathroom. There is a fully equipped kitchen including Nespresso coffee machine for your use.
