Very nice guest house in a quiet place with nice views or the valley. Great to stay a little away from the hustle and traffic of Bir. The hosts, Navdeep and his wife are very friendly, caring people. We enjoyed their company and conversation. They both are good cooks of Indian food. The closest restaurant is about a 15 minute walk, downtown about 20 minutes. We enjoyed the local countryside and neighbors.

This place was wonderful. It was my first stop in India so the perfect place to settle in. It’s a short walk from McLeod Ganj and is surrounded by great amenities including a couple of great restaurants, a shop and a gym. The area is a great mix of Tibetan/Buddhist and Indian cultures. It’s wonderful! The view from the balcony is spectacular and the kitchen is well equipped for self catering. I was remote working so the work desk was ideal but trying to work without getting mesmerised by the view was hard 😂 The team couldn’t have done more for me including getting an Indian SIM card. Thanks guys. I’ll be returning and I can’t wait.

We were looking for a place away from busy Dharamsala that we could use as a base to explore the area and Ajit’s home fitted the bill perfectly. Located in Naddi, it is about 500m above Dharamsala and cooler. Accessing Dharamsala and McLeodganj was a breeze - if you have your own vehicle then no problem, else there are autos and taxis that ply from Dal Lake, which is an attraction close to Naddi.  The home itself is very nice. Very clean and neat and very thoughtfully furnished. The kitchen is well equipped with an induction stove, gas, refrigerator, water filter, utility vessels and some common grocery items needed for cooking. The view from the unit is amazing - it looks out onto some village homes in the distance on top of a hill with terraced fields in between and the show capped Dhauladhar peaks in the horizon. The unit is located in the second floor - accessed by 2 flights of stairs. So, if you have seniors in your contingent or someone with mobility issues, it is something to watch out for.  Ajit’s family - himself, wife and 2 young boys were amazing and most helpful with some our specific needs. Since Ajit has grown up in the Naddi area, he knows the place inside out and is happy to guide and help out.  Connectivity was one of the best we have had in Himachal - Vodafone works great and so does Jio. All in all - great value for money for your stay in the Dharamsala area - we would come back to stay - for the place, for the view, for the convenience and of course, Ajit and family - amazing folks! 

Kunal's Wildflower felt like home from day one. located in a peaceful corner of Upper Bhagsu, it was conveniently close to essential shops. The spacious and thoughtfully designed apartment featured a cozy wood stove for heating, adding to the charm. The kitchen was stocked with utensils and perfect for a long stay. Kunal was always available to help ensuring a smooth stay. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with easy access to triund and mcleodganj.

Rama's place was double great. To begin with - the coziness inside and out. The room is not too big, but there's certainly enough place for two people. We liked the green grass when outside a lot. Also there are two options of how to get to the central square - both just a couple of minutes and there you are, able to explore onwards according to your wishes. Rama herself is very warm. She's very helpful with everything - willing to answer all your questions and also willing to give you some advice, if you need it :). I think the main compliment about the place and the owner would be if we'll travel again to McLeod Ganj we would definitely stay at Rama's. Thank you, Rama!

The apartment looked exactly the same as in photos, everything was right clean bathrooms, comfortable rooms, choice of books and board games for timepass and on the top of everything you could hear the river flowing nearby which is soothing at night. Host Surbhi is also a very nice person you don't feel like you are meeting her for the first time, she is very helpful. I recommend this place who wants to visit Dharamshala

A very sweet and helpful host ,with a very beautiful cosy place

We had a wonderful stay at Col. Ranjeev Pradhan's Airbnb in Dharamshala. Very proactive from the time of booking the stay, he welcomed us with tea and coffee and, along with his wife, helped plan our day with a thoughtful itinerary and eatery suggestions. The home is a short walk from McLeod Ganj market, full of great food and shops. The Airbnb is on the upper floor (a few flights of stairs), while the hosts stay below—close by yet respectful of privacy. The 4-bedroom space was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Each time we entered or left, we passed their lovely garden, which added a beautiful touch. The kitchen had basic utensils, cutlery and plates, and toiletries and clean towels were provided. We also tried the breakfast menu—everything was fresh and delicious. Overall, it was a warm, hospitable stay. Highly recommended!

I couldn’t recommend this place enough. Nishant was very organised with the communication prior to our stay and Annu and his wife were so lovely. From the organised airport pick up (at a cost of $30 AUD each way) to anywhere we needed to go, Annu was very accommodating - and just lovely in general. The area feels like a small neighbourhood village but with good options for tasty food, and cute shops/stalls. 10/10 recommend

we have stayed for 2 nights and it was avery pleasant stay surrounded by lush green trees and u can clearly see snow covered mountains from this stay Uncle is very responsive and friendly they have a Little kitchen garden outside and flower plants.property is beautiful and homely it has 3 rooms and kitchen and 2 washrooms this place is little away from dharmashala but it's worth staying there if you have your own vehicle

We stayed at Awa riverside for a month. It was a memorable experience for us. The place is located in the lap of dhauladhaar with green fields and awa river nearby. The village is very peaceful and the people are friendly. You can get day to day stuff from rakkar which is a short walk from the place. Nearby places like dharamshala, bir, baijnath are accessible by car. The house is equipped with all the things you need. Uncle ji and Aunty ji were very supportive and helpful. Overall our stay was very comfortable and relaxing, would certainly recommend to others.

We had a great time, it was a very easy stay, the balcony view is amazing! Very quirky layout of the space also. lots of small places to eat around and the walk is quiet easy. We faced no issues at all, and throughly enjoyed the stay. definitely coming back.

Well, to start with, nothing but praises for the host, Kritika, she was so friendly and helpful. Has so much knowledge about the place, full of recommendations and places to check out. Sadly I was only staying for one night as I was passing through but she suggested so many great places to eat and shop! Plus the welcome basket was such a nice personal touch. Loved it! Special mention to the staff (especially Suman didi), they do such a good job of keeping the place (Bathrooms, Kitchen, Rooms etc.) squeaky clean and super friendly too. The place itself was super easy to find, accurate location pin, plus Kritika was literally just one phone call away the whole time I stayed there. Phone network was good plus the place has WiFi, so no communication issues at all. Safe to say I’m definitely coming back for a longer stay super soon simply to explore Bir in its entirety! Very good experience over all, 10/10 would recommend Hermit’s Nest to anyone who is in Bir. Kudos to Kritika and her team.

Had great experience at this place. Best part is this place is in middle of dharamshala main market and mc leod ganj. Also food was awsome. Loved this place.

The stay was excellent and the food they shared with us was wonderful and homely. Immaculately kept house. The only thing to note would be that the path to reach the gate is steep and narrow, almost too small for our SUV. Do keep that in mind.

Excellent place to stay. very near to Stadium. Neat and clean, amenities were provided well. Host is very very helpful and responsive even at night time. Very much homely stay experience it was for us.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a property. Firstly, I must commend the beautiful and serene location of the accommodation. Despite being 2 km away from the market, the peaceful ambiance and scenic surroundings made it a delightful retreat. The tranquility of the area added to the overall charm of the stay. The room itself was spacious and impressively equipped with amenities, making my stay comfortable and convenient. However, I noticed that the mattress could use some improvement in terms of comfort. Enhancing the quality of the mattress would certainly elevate the guest experience. I must also highlight the exemplary hospitality extended by the hosts. They were incredibly accommodating and exhibited utmost politeness throughout my stay. Their warm demeanor added a personal touch to the experience, making me feel welcomed and value. Overall, I had a pleasant stay and appreciated the beauty and tranquility of the location, as well as the hospitality of the hosts.

This is not actually an Airbnb, it is a room in the Chokling Arthouse, which is the hotel next to Chokling Monastery. I never did meet Kartik, and when I asked about him, everyone at the guesthouse stared blankly, as if they'd never heard of him. But the hotel is lovely, as is the management, and the room is very spacious and comfortable with spectacular views. I loved my stay here. That said, it is definitely not big enough for three people. This is a suite for two people, even though the hotel will offer you an extra cot at a fee. There is really no where to put it, though, unless one person slept in the sitting area. There is also no kitchen, just a microwave and a few bowls, spoons, etc. There is AC, hot water, and a lovely sitting area. The hotel restaurant has extremely slow service and not many options, but the waiters are extremely friendly. This room opens onto a large public terrace area, which be noisy at night with people doing fire spinning, etc.

The host was proactive right from my queries about the place, all the way to contacting me when I had left behind something of value after checking out. I had a near perfect stay here, there were no hiccups or hidden fees. Cordial and upfront. The caretaker took interest in our visit and itinerary, while helping us get a scooty for travel around Mcleodganj. I personally loved the layout and the aesthetics of the place. Had a rustic, yet modern vibe to it. The path to the location is a little steep, but that's a given since it is located in a mountain range. Had fun and would definitely recommend it to anyone who is considering a visit!

Shalini’s place is an excellent option for someone looking for a nice and peaceful stay around Dharamshala at a budget friendly price. The place offers nice snow capped views one side and a small stream flowing just across the road which adds to its charm. The place is on the second floor but there is help available for managing the luggage up and down which makes it quite convenient. Shalini was extremely proactive and helpful with instructions and local recommendations that came in very handy. Overall a nice accommodation and a super friendly host.

It was beautiful property. we were 3 friends and enjoyed ourselves at the property. Everything was neat and clean within reach. It was a peaceful location and we could travel to mcleodganj easily by our car. Care taker Sandeep is very nice and humble person, 5 stars for him as well.

When you think of going somewhere you always plan for traveling the places, things to do and multiple other activities, but when we reached there instead of a tourist we, fortunately, got added into one more act of "being a family". Ashish greeted us with utmost warmness, and the landlord family was equally humble. Plus the little kid is like the cherry on the cake, there is a story of BANARAS, for that you have to visit VIA KASHI. Regarding the place & accommodation offered to us was amazing, it was newly built and we were the first to enter. Sparkling clean, new utensils, and everything required articles were provided. Food options are just below the place, there is one dhabba and cafe in front of the house, plus there are multiple food joints within walking distance of 2 mins. If you are visiting VIA KASHI then you shall get the same comforts as you feel at your own home. For rest, you need to visit.

Perfect place to relax rejuvenate and just get pampered! The location is amazing - the living room has gorgeous french windows which overlook the amazing Dhauladhar range. Sipping tea by that window was my favorite spot. There is a kitchen if you want to make food, but aunty and her daughter made some yummy home-food which just made us even more lazy. Spent about 9 amazing days with this family - best part they never disturb and leave us on our own... but are very friendly if we want to chat. Miss the friendly atmosphere, amazing tea and yummy food overlooking one of the beautiful himalayan ranges. Will definitely visit soon!
