It is a fantastic location and the views of lake and mountain are lovely. The host is really responsive and easy to deal with. This is a great house for groups of friends and family wanting to get away. Lots of space and hideaways for larger groups.

We had a lovely and peaceful family breakaway. The tents have all you need to make your stay comfy while still giving a camping feel.

Fantastic location far from the hustle and bustle of city life. The perfect way to get away and recharge in nature. Great facilities and accommodation. Good spot to visit with children / family. Easy hiking trail options which offer something for the whole family. Highly recommend a visit here. We will be back for sure.

We had such a lovely stay! The space was not only spotless and beautifully maintained, but it also had so many thoughtful touches that made us feel right at home. What stood out most was how incredibly child-friendly the place was. There were a dress up box, books, trampoline, play park and best of all - animals that kept our little ones entertained. My kids loved the animal feeding with Chisomo where they could also gather eggs from the chickens. The treasure was also quite enjoyable for both us and the kids :) The garden is so amazing!! You don’t often get to interact with the owner, and sometimes you may not want to. But this is not one of those times. And it’s a double whammy as Paul is also the former wine maker and great connoisseur. And a really welcoming guy on top of that. And he has super friendly dogs! And the way he talks about how they converted the farm from apples to vines. Plenty of ANDs… That baton passed to his son and he is doing an amazing job, the Chardonnay is something else. Nikki made our stay with her sense of humor and the way she treated my mother. Definitely a place that welcomes you.

Elke's farmhouse was the perfect place for our family reunion. We needed somewhere where we could all just hang out and catch up and this was the perfect spot with exquisite views. The house is spacious, with very tasteful and quirky decor which we loved. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Elke gave very clear access instructions and we were warmly greeted by the farm manager. Thank you for a wonderful weekend, Elke!

We had a great stay at Vin’s place with our dogs. The place is clean, peaceful and the garden is beautiful. Vin is super responsive and accommodating, and full of good local recommendations !

Absolutely loved Renee’s place. Peaceful and private. That lookout in the morning over the fields and seeing the horses and the beautiful landscape is special. Weather was not the best but the fireplace inside kept the place well heated. Everything we needed was there, did not expect the games, thoroughly enjoyed it. The braai spot was tops with everything you need. Bedroom was just enough, we could plug in our tv box and connect to the wifi, no issues. The horses…loved it. The highlight was the hot tub…after getting the fire going to heat it up…we got stuck in there for a few hours, loved it. Thanks again Renee. Highly recommended if you just want to break away.

We stayed here for two nights as part of a longer trip from the UK in the Western Cape. This was such a lovely spot to just stop and relax. We loved the inside/outside space and a cooler/rainy day gave us the opportunity to enjoy a hot tub under the stars. The gardens and grounds are beautiful. Worth a visit to the cutting flower garden across the road. We also really enjoyed the opportunity to swim and kayak in the river. Breakfast hampers a great touch- delicious and beautifully presented. We also made use of ordering braii/ salads and veg which made self catering very easy indeed!

Amazing unit in a secluded part of the farm. Very quiet and picturesque. Great restaurants and wine tasting nearby.

What a wonderful, restful stay! We loved the experience of getting to know all the cats... The house had everything we needed to feel comfortable and at home and we got excellent service. It's also beautifully positioned to explore the Elgin Railway Market and other gems...

Cannot wait to go back! What an amazing place, almost too scared to say how much we loved it, because I fear it will be fully booked (and we won’t be able to go back) 😅 Trevor and Okay were amazing, making sure we knew everything before we arrived, even providing brand new games for my “tweens” because the weather was looking “iffy”. It was peaceful, clean, and the house has everything you need and it is so incredibly beautiful. My boys (10yr & 12yr) had the best time! Loved that there was no TV, and we will absolutely take our dog next time!

Very laid back, welcoming and pet friendly hosts. We had an incredible stay. A peaceful and humble getaway in a space that teems with historic farm cottage appeal, and the dogs enjoyed the spacious lawns for rolling around. They have dams to visit and horse riding as well!

Ive stayed at a quite a few places with the Family over the years however this one met our expectations above and beyond. From the moment I booked Malani provided me with the list of instructions for the house along with helpful tips, she responded almost immediately. We were welcomed by the friendly Casper and his wife with open arms. Would highly recommend this place for a group or Family looking to get away from the hustle and bustle.

Stunningly beautiful and perfectly equipped villa. I would especially like to mention the views surrounding the house. One of the best places I have stayed in my life.

We had a wonderful stay at Daniel's place. Sixteen of us stayed there and there was plenty of room for all with well appointed and comfortable bedrooms. The home is spacious, eclectic, and situated on a lovely farm. A great place to relax, take in the surroundings, play ping pong, play pool, or have a barbecue. There are some great wine farms nearby if you feel like going out. The house was well equipped with all utensils and amenities. In all, we had a great stay and I highly recommend a stay here.

Hanna and her family are the perfect hosts. They are close enough to be there when you need something yet far enough to have the space feel very private. The house was very spacious and perfect for our month long stay. The kids loved the pool and hot tub and they couldn't get enough of the playground and resident bunnies, chickens, and ducks. Their 2 dogs are also a delight! The house has great communal indoor spaces that were used extensively when the weather was not ideal. On sunny days we loved the patio and garden. The perfect location to spend time with loved ones.

The farmhouse is large, comfortable and very well equipped. The living area is spacious yet cosy with many personal touches. It was a home from home with the added bonus of being in a tranquil spot overlooking the beautiful Hemel en Aarde valley. It is well located, close to many vineyards for winetasting and about a 20 minute drive to Hermanus. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and would not hesitate to come back.

The view alone makes booking this airbnb worthwhile! Mandy is a wonderful host and is quick to respond to our questions. The house is very comfortable for large groups and the open plan living area/kitchen is great. There are special loadshedding lamps, a gas stove and a generator which makes living with power outages bearable. What a relaxing week!

The photos don’t do justice of this beautiful house and the surroundings. Gorgeous views, peaceful surroundings and lots to do in the area. Living area was much bigger than expected. Small issues were dealt with quickly and it was wonderful to have a mid stay clean. Norah was super helpful!!

Everything about this trip was amazing. The house is spacious, beautiful and modern. Great for multiple families. The valley is breathtakingly beautiful with a little stream for the kids to play in. Jannie was an incredible host from booking to checkout. Thank you for a wonderful trip.
