The Shelter

With wooden interior and carpeted floors with free standing fireplace, our accomodation is both spacious yet cosy. The master bedroom has a cabin feel to it with a comfy bed and views out onto farmland. The Loft is a spacious cosy area with low ceilings which the teenagers will love but tall people may not enjoy it as it's only about 1.75 cm at the highest point . large couches for watching netflix or relaxing on the deck. we are not set up for young children and think it's best suited to 8+ age

The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

Our self contained apartment offers unique semi rural accommodation with amazing mountain views suited for tourists & travelers to enjoy all our region offers. Travelling north Okato is a 10min hop, Oakura a 20min skip & the big smoke New Plymouth a 30min jump. Maunga Taranaki National Park is a 60min scenic drive around the mountain.

Ideal for families, groups of friends, or someone simply wanting some space to getaway.  Conveniently located close to the Kaupokonui beach, a short drive to Manaia township and a quick trip to Hawera or Opunake, the cottage makes a great base to explore all that South Taranaki has to offer.

The Black Yurt

MAX OCCUPANCY 2 Adults & 2 Children under 12 The Black Yurt is situated within Oakura. The surf beach, a number of cafes/restaurants, a pharmacy and a convenience store are within walking distance. Several hiking trails can be found nearby. Accessible via a private staircase, this yurt offers you a comfortable king-size bed, lounge area and kitchenette. The bath and shower are outdoors. A separate small building contains the toilet.

We are two minutes from Lake Mangamahoe Walking track and Mountain Bike park, you can be in New Plymouth in ten minutes and be up North Egmont in 15 minutes. Our beautiful cottage is perfect for a couples or small families. Enjoy an amazing view of Mt Taranaki out of the bedroom windows. We provide towels, face cloths and all bed linen.
