Travis and his lovely family made us feel incredibly welcome and at home in their lovely spot in Buxton. I would really recommended as a peaceful and beautiful area to explore on the southern Outer Banks and would love to return again in the future.

I had an amazing few days at Jayme's place. Everything was exactly as described. I look forward to returning. This may sound like a cliche, but it truly is a hidden gem. The apartment is spacious and welcoming. Perfect for a small family or getaway with a few friends. I was able to visit with my family, while having my own quiet space where I could work in the day and see my kids/grandkids in the afternoons and evenings. Just steps away, you can rent a bike and go anywhere. The area is also very walkable. A wonderful restaurant is also just steps away from the property. Everything is very close, including groceries, restaurants, and things to do. And, of course, there is a very easy short stroll to the beach so no worries about looking for parking :) Jayme is super friendly and helpful. It was a treat to meet her. I don't think I have ever met a host in person. I have been fortunate to have wonderful AirBnB experiences, but this has been one of my best.

We were very pleased with Watermens retreat, the house was very nice and was exactly as described.

Heba’s place is an excellent listing with a great location on Hwy 12 in Frisco. It offers just about every amenity needed for a Hatteras Island visit. Even though my wife and I visited in the winter, we still felt there was much to do outside during our visit. The kitchen was great. The bathroom was clean with a solid shower. The bed was very comfy for those who like a more firm bed. I loved the electric heater in the living room and the TVs in both the living room and the bedroom were a bonus. Ample amounts of parking available and quite private, even though you are a few feet away from other dwellings. There is a great restaurant across the street within walking distance and a gas station only a minute away. 10 minute drive to Cape Hatteras Lighthouse, or the Hatteras Ferry and less than 5 minute drive to Frisco Beach. Definitely recommend and would stay here again if this listing is available in the future.

This condo was perfectly situated. The ocean view is spectacular from the balcony, and it is literally just steps to the beach. The place was neat and clean, and it was exactly as photographed and described. As a previous reviewer stated, the condo is a bit dated, but that did not detract one iota from our positive experience! We found the condo perfect for our needs which were relaxing and enjoying the beach. Additionally, it is close to several good restaurants and coffee shops, and it is in walkable/run-able/bikeable area. A couple of markets are nearby with a grocery store about 20-30 minutes away. It is close to Bodie Lighthouse and Pea Island Wildlife Refuge as well as numerous other sites! I would definitely stay in the condo again, and I highly recommend it.

Lucy is always a wonderful host. Her place is our home away from home. Looking forward to the next stay.

This is such a beautiful spot with welcoming helpful hosts. This was our second time staying there and we are looking forward to coming back.

We had a great vacation at Daniel’s home. It was extremely clean and exactly as described. It was in a perfect location to walk to the beach or to nearby coffee and ice cream shops, restaurants, and surf shops. Short driving distances to many other beaches as well. An added bonus, were the beds being very comfortable. I would highly recommend Daniel’s place to anyone looking for a pristine, relaxing home in a beach/surf community. If we come back to the outer banks we will definitely stay here again. Thanks Daniel !

We LOVED our stay at 3 Angel's Haven! This was our second time around and once again, Nicky could not have been nicer. There are six of us - three couples - so the room layout, each with its own bathroom, works perfectly for us. A short walk and we're at the beach. A short drive and we have our choice of restaurants, grocery, and fun, outdoor activities. We choose to come to Avon in the winter for a quieter vacation and we're coming from Wisconsin, so the colder temps were still 30 degrees warmer than home. We will be back.

First thing I noticed walking in was the beautiful colors on the walls. The house was decorated so well, we felt welcomed and comfortable. We love vacationing down here and will be looking forward to staying here again.

Our long weekend stay was peaceful and just what we needed to recharge. The beach chairs and boogie boards were nice to have for the beach! The walk to the beach was a little confusing at first, but once we found the right path it was very quick. Overall we loved our stay, especially the sleepover environment with the loft!

Jake was more than accommodating. Very clean. Jake was so responsive, respectful and GENEROUS! Highly recommend!

I was so grateful to have a time of respite with my 81 yr old mother there over Easter break. The space is lovely and there was almost no one there on the island during that time so it was quiet and peaceful! Mikey was super open to helping me troubleshoot a few needs and I appreciated his thoughtfulness:) 2 notes to future guests: 1) The path to the beach is not well marked and there's a sign that says "Private" - we had to walk around and find someone to ask. and, while it might be a 0.2 mile walk, that distance (for us, anyway) was through deep sand - pretty tough for an 81 yr old. 2) The beach is not a regular coastal beach - it's in a sound so it's much more like a lake with no waves. Also, if the wind is right, the water could be pushed so far out it would be difficult to actually swim. We didn't care a whit but I can see how a family arriving with boogie boards and older kiddos might be disappointed.

Great location, very easy boardwalk over the dunes. Great surfing right out front - close to the pier and all the shops and restaurants. The property was very clean and comfortable. Would rent again!

Actual house is even better than pictures show! And well stocked kitchen makes preparing meals in easy. The dumb waiter is such a helpful tool for getting luggage (and groceries!) to the front door with ease. LOVED our time here!

Nice, clean condo with great location on the sound with beautiful sunset views! Very friendly and responsive owners! Hope to stay here many more times.

Stayed for our first trip to the OBX. Unit exceeded our expectations from the photos. The two bedroom suites are on opposite sides of the unit which our two boys (10 & 17) loved. Very clean and comfortable. Felt like a home away from home. Kitchen was very well equipped. Beds were super comfortable! Only slight critique was a clump of hair in the drain in the king bathroom tub and the shower curtain looked moldy all along the bottom. For our active family there wasn’t too much for us to do in the immediate area other than water sports, which they tired of quickly. So we spent quite a bit of time driving to other towns. But, that was partly our fault for not doing enough research. If you’re looking for fishing, kite boarding, or just a quiet escape, this place definitely fits the bill!

It was especially clean and nicely decorated. The kitchen was efficient with new appliances and granite counters. The bathroom also had granite counters. It too, was an efficient use of space with storage. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom had plenty of storage. It is very close to the beach, restaurants, the ferry, and shopping. The property has a pool, too. We enjoyed the walking paths around the property that wind around a marsh area. Office staff is on hand to answer questions.

This is a perfect place to stay while on Ocracoke! Very comfortable bed and well appointed kitchen. We enjoyed a swim in the pool too! This spot is quiet and lovely. We enjoyed our morning coffee around the pool and enjoyed the smell of jasmine that was starting to open up and listened to the mourning doves. Easy walk to Ocracoke Coffee and The Back Porch restaurant. Don’t forget to shop at Bella Fiore and Books to be Red. We will be back!

Great location,clean and comfortable. Lynne had left easy to follow instructions on use of all amenities. Very nice place will definitely consider staying with Lynne agian.

We loved our stay at Resort Rodanthe. We loved the location, close to the shops and a short walk on the boardwalk to the beach. The outdoor showers were convenient as were the outdoor charcoal grills which we enjoyed some steaks our last evening. We will certainly come back again.

We had a fabulous time, watching the Dolphins, and a whale from the beautiful balcony
