The sanctuary is a 1 bedroom 1 bathroom guest house with a full kitchen and bathroom. We are located within a 5 minute drive to the beach, and 30 minutes away from Redwood State and National Parks. Perfect launch location for hiking, surfing, cycling and enjoying this amazing place. Enjoy our beautiful quiet space for relaxation and renewal. The space is shoe and scent free.

Set back hidden from the road in a bamboo oasis, it’s private and peaceful. Walk or bike to nearby river, beaches, forest. Or hop on the Highway 1/3 mile away. 3.5 miles to Airport, 30 to Redwood National & State Parks. We’ll share walls so you’ll sometimes hear me, though I try to be a considerate neighbor. Your comfort is very important to me!

Located in pristine area for exploring redwoods, our remodeled "Whale Tail" Cottage is 720 sq ft home located on the ocean bluff. Enjoy stunning ocean views, sitting on 1.5 acres on California's Redwood Coast. Enjoy barking sea lions, spouting gray whales, roaring ocean from the view deck. Spend the day hiking, kayaking, biking, and beach-combing then come back to watch the sun melt into the ocean. Conveniently located near town of Trinidad and within 20 minutes of Redwood National Park.

Shore Acres Ocean View Cabin and Retreat Space

Step back in time and experience the best that Humboldt has to offer at the exceptionally preserved Shore Acres cottage. Set on a serene and completely private parcel, this unique property offers unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean and access to the Mad River frontage beach, as well as a private duck-stocked pond and local creek. Take a romantic stroll through the immaculately preserved grounds, and enjoy a sunset bonfire on the string lit terrace overlooking the ocean. Unforgettable!

Having lived on the North Coast for over 40 years we're a great resource to make your stay memorable.

Relax and rejuvenate in our cozy guest suite. The room boasts a large living area, comfortable furnishings and a calming atmosphere. With all the luxuries and privacy of a hotel suite, we also boast beautiful gardens and a waterfall cascading down into a koi pond to enjoy. The suite has a private entrance and is situated at the end of the a quiet street in a upscale, safe neighborhood. We are 5 minutes to shopping and dinning and another five to the fabulous Moonstone Beach.

Redwoods & Hammond Trail Retreat

Perfect for two guests and a dog, this private one-bedroom home sits directly on the Hammond Trail in McKinleyville, CA. Walk or bike to the Mad River and ocean right from the property, with easy drives to beaches and redwood forests. Enjoy gated, secure parking, fully fenced yards, a comfy queen bed, sleeper sofa, fully equipped kitchen, plus an outdoor sauna and shower. Guests typically enjoy the garden and sunsets as well as the cleanliness and peace that the space exudes.

Queen bed in master, comfortable twin bunk beds in tiny second bedroom (adults ok in bunks if less than ~180lb). Bonus playroom/office. Well-stocked kitchen and laundry. Level 2 electric car charging outlet (NEMA 14-50). Well behaved pets ok.
