The “Wee Bothy” offers a great base to explore the North East Coast, our scenic Angus Glens, and nearby Towns and Cities with places of interest all around. The Seaside/Harbour town of Arbroath is a 5 min drive away, with lots of lovely Cafes, Restaurants, Cinema and Theatre. Golfing, Fishing , Kayaking round the Cliffs and Walking, are plentiful in and around the area with Carnoustie Golf Links a 15 minute drive. Bus and Train Station in town for those who want to venture further.

Angus Hidden Gem

The north wing of a beautiful ‘A Listed’ Lairds House located within an exceptionally charming small Scottish country estate . Ardovie is a beautifully private and peaceful location which allows the perfect escape from it all yet is also well located for access to the coast and glens. The estate is quite the hidden gem and has a wonderful selection of woodland walks . The boating pond and walled garden are definitely worth seeing to enjoy the true tranquillity of the property.

The kitchen wing flat at Balintore Castle (1860) was restored in 2019 and has proven very popular. Full self-catering facilities are available. "Ericht" was completed in April 2022. We are taking bookings now for May 2022 onwards. This is our 2nd cabin and 'Isla' is generally booked months in advance.
