West Cabin Country Lodge

When Laurel and I were married in 1994, and I moved from Wahoo, Nebraska (near Omaha) to a cattle ranch in northwest Kansas, I knew I had found my Paradise, In 1880, Laurel's grandparents, Enoch and Rebecca Fox, homesteaded the first 180 acres of Goddard Ranch where they raised corn and started buying cattle. Now Goddard Ranch consists of over 3,500 acres of pasture and farmland and, in the same tradition of Enoch and Rebecca, is still a working ranch. When I first came here, I found the open prairie, rolling pasture land, wild flowers, creeks, ponds and wildlife filled my soul with serenity. I loved the ranch so much that I wanted to share the experience and told Laurel that we needed a guest house for friends and relatives when they came to visit. One Christmas I had a Christmas card on the tree from my stepson, John. Inside I found a picture of a very old, ugly house with the caption, "Your next project. Merry Christmas!" John moved that old, ugly house to our ranch and we started the renovation. 10 years, two additions and many gallons of paint later, we have a very beautiful lodge that sits on the side of a hill, with beautiful trees surrounding it and pasture land as far as the eye can see. Inside is a very spacious family room (20x32 feet) that is off from the kitchen and dinning room. There are two bedrooms with a twin bed and bunkbed in each bedroom. We have a new couch that pulls out into a queen-sized bed with a 7-inch mattress in the family room. There are also 2 twin-sized air mattresses and one queen-sized mattress available. There are 2 bathrooms, laundry room with washer/dryer, and a cabinet with a double sink. All bath towels, linens, dish towels and laundry supplies are included. The kitchen has a stove, refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, all pots and pans, dishes, silverware and the cabinets are stocked with the all staples. Cable TV and wireless internet are supplied. From the front porch, you can watch the horses in the pasture and the cattle grazing over the hill. If you walk up the hill from the back yard, you will find the fishing pond or go about 5 miles down the road to Antelope Lake to fish. You can follow the creek and look for deer antlers, hunt for arrowheads, hike, ride a horse, or watch the sunrise and sunset. At night, roast hotdogs and marshmallows by the campfire under a panoramic view of the stars. You will never see as many stars in the sky than out in the open prairie. If you are traveling with horses, we have a fenced in pasture and a barn to board them. If you are a history buff, we have the Indian effigy, Penokee Man, on our land and will take you to see where he lives after almost 1000 years. Near here was one of the last Indian/Calvery shootouts and our museum in Hill City is full of artifacts that chronicles the vast history of this area. My husband, Laurel, loves to tell stories of when his grandparents homesteaded the first 180 arces. In the last 8 years, Seven 2 Bar has hosted people from India, Ukraine, Italy and from all over the United States. Our lodge is available for weekend getaways, vacations by the week or month, hunting in the spring and fall, family runion, class reunions, or just to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city. We offer guided turkey and pheasant hunts. Our guides are very experienced and have trained hunting dogs for your pheasant hunt. I offer home cooked meals and make everything from scratch. Cozy farmhouse cottage

Right off highway 24. Large vehicles and trailer parking available for a cozy stay at this 3 bedroom farmhouse style home typical to Western Kansas. Enjoy a quiet moment on the old front porch. You will see the stars here. This is country! A touch of western lore, located midway between Denver and Kansas City and situated on the Solomon river valley. Antelope lake is 2 miles away. Grocery store 2 blocks away. 3 TV’s with WIFI and Roku. Carrier mini split AC and heat.

#1 - North Fork Horse Ranch - King bed

North Fork Ranch offers a relaxing atmosphere with the scenic beauty of rural Kansas. The overnight accommodations offer a quiet getaway where travelers can relax in the comfort of their air-conditioned/heated rustic room in the loft of the ranch barn. The backyard view is memorizing with gently rolling hills, abundant wildlife, and wide-open spaces. Room amenities include free parking, free internet, Netflix, and a private entrance to the room with a private bathroom.

My Place

My Place is conveniently located right off Rt. 36, and centrally located 18 miles from Norton and 23 miles from Prairie Dog State Park. Phillipsburg is 15 miles, and past that is Kirwin Wildlife Refuge The beds have gel infused memory foam mattress toppers, LR has a 32" TV w/Amazon Prime, bathroom includes grooming essentials, kitchenette includes coffee, tea, sugar, milk. Free use of washer/dryer, laundry detergent, dryer sheets, and USB charging station.

1906 Cottage Garden

Our historic 1906 Cottage Garden guest house is located on I-70 half-way between Kansas City & Denver, Colorado in WaKeeney, KS. Stroll across the brick street to the adjacent park which surrounds the historic native limestone courthouse. Attractions include: The Smoky Valley Scenic Byway, The Christmas City of the High Plains, Shiloh Vineyard and Winery, Cedar Bluff Reservoir, and Castle Rock. Grandma's House

Grandma's House. Entire house is available; Three bedroom house; 4 Queen size beds. Fully functional kitchen, BBQ grill available as well. House located in the heart of Pheasant Hunting Country! We do allow dogs, but ask they not stay in bedrooms. TV, DVD, WIFI, Roku available. NEW HEATING AND AIR INSTALLED spring 2023 Morland is a sleepy and relaxing little town, there is The Office (bar), and Morland Mercantile.

Fishing and Hunting Getaway!!

Whole house available for you and up to 6 guest total. There is a traeger grill available to use if needed. Washer and dryer is available for washing clothes. One full bathroom with a tub/shower. Plenty of parking and there are two additional building on the property available if needed. Coffee pot available, paper plates, and utensils available for our guests as well.

Come relax for a while in our comfortable home in Morland. You’ve got everything you need for a weekend or an extended stay. Three bedrooms with Queen beds, and an inflatable mattress available if your group likes to spread out. Bathroom is sparkling clean with a large rain shower head and plenty of hot water. Fast Wifi throughout the entire home to keep you connected.

Prairie Dog Lodge

This is a rural getaway location that has a beautiful view of the country side. It has a full kitchen that has all the amenities of home. The kitchen comes with plates, silverware, cups, cooking ware. Bathroom has a washer and dryer. Bathroom also comes with towels. BBQ Gill is available-Propane Dog Kennels are also available with water and food bowls

Liberty Lodge

Liberty Lodge is located just minutes away from Kirwin Reservoir. The reservoir is known as the goose capital of Kansas. It also known for its great walleye and crappie fishing.
