This house is adorable. There is a lovely deck off the kitchen and another one upstairs with views of Eggemoggin Reach. The house is peaceful and a nice layout with the two bedrooms on one side of the house and two on the other.

This is a small cottage right ON the “Old Harbor” in Vinalhaven. The view from the deck is just stunning. We had everything we needed, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cottage was clean and comfortable. We would definitely come back!

We had such a good time! Lots of space, kid friendly, well equipped kitchen, beautiful location by the water. Host communication was great. Hope to stay again sometime!

We stayed at Jonathan’s place for my bachelorette trip to Maine and it was absolutely perfect for a quiet ladies weekend with beautiful surroundings. The house had nearly everything we needed, and everything we weren’t able to bring or find at the house could easily be purchased at the nearby Fales Store that Jonathan recommended. The kitchen was impressively well-stocked and we had more than enough blankets, towels, etc. to accommodate 11 women. Jonathan’s place provided a halfway point between Portland and Acadia National Park where we spent part of our weekend in peak fall color. It’s also a short 30min drive from Camden Harbor where we chartered a sailboat before coming back to a cozy fire in the wood burning fireplace and a gas firepit in the backyard. The house had plenty of space for all of us to sleep and to socialize. Jonathan was very responsive at check-in and check-out. We felt so welcome - 10/10 would recommend, we had an incredible weekend!

We had such an awesome time at the farmhouse! North pond is less than a half mile walk down a path on the property and it was excellent to fish, canoe and just hang out on the small beach. The house was clean and had all of the amenities we needed for our nearly month long stay. Rockland, Rockport and Camden are within a 20 minute drive so restaurants and stores are super close by. This was an amazing place to home base out of as we explored Maine and house hunted for our forever home. The hosts were so kind and very responsive to any questions we had! We highly recommend this house!

Catherine's place is Great! We have stayed there several times over many years and it is always great. Very convenient for visitors to the Mid Coast Region.

Crissy and this beautiful cozy cabin in the woods, are both wonderful! Arrangements couldn’t be easier, lots of recommendations for things to do, but just hanging out in the home is nice too. Great place to unwind.

The house, front porch, yard, and view are amazing!! Any questions we had were answered very promptly when we emailed Margaret. Our first three days were rainy, but we had the magnificent stone fireplace going and played games, which there are many to choose from. Also, a ping pong table!!! :) We all had a great time, 4 adults and an 18-month-old. So happy to finally find a place in Stonington that I want to return to every year. We had a great stay. Good location to visit surrounding local towns. The pool, deck, and yard allowed for a lot of fun outside. The yard was nicely mowed and the pool was very clean!

This is the loveliest house on a large lot with a wonderful view. We so enjoyed our stay and we're grateful for a warm, snug house on some cold nights.

My return visit to the Boathouse was even lovelier than I hoped it would be. The location can't be matched by anything else I've seen. I enjoyed a September visit with my dog and was lucky to have pristine weather. I lived a very simple and healthy outdoors life and came home the better for it. The Boathouse is true to its description: it is simple and rustic and uncomplicated but well-equipped, and is perfect for one-and-dog, or for two people. A little coming-and-going from the neighboring houses meant that I didn't feel isolated. Margaret is truly an exceptional and friendly host who communicates promptly and clearly. I almost hesitate to share "my" Boathouse location with too many of my back-home friends because it feels so intimate and special. I already want to be back there. I offer my deep thanks to Margaret and to the place that I could - briefly - call home.

We found the home clean and welcoming. There was plenty of room for all of us and we enjoyed the back deck very much. The kitchen was well equipped and although we did not do any cooking, if we had, everything was there for us. We really liked how private the home was. Had the weather been warmer we definitely would have checked out the pool. It is also very close to Thomaston, Rockland and Owls Head. So much to do in this area. We would recommend this home to anyone who wants a quiet retreat in Maine that is close to the coast.

BEAUTIFUL Home!! Tons of space to relax and spread out with our family! The beds were very comfortable! We really appreciated all of the bathrooms for our group! The kitchen was huge and so handy for preparing meals! I absolutely loved the style and atmosphere of this wonderful home! We also loved being able to bring our dogs!! We had a lovely time and we would most definitely come back!!! 🥰

This lodging could not have been more perfect for me and my dog to spend the holidays. The space is immaculate, well-heated, and very comfortable. The kitchen is well-stocked with cookware. The interior is bright during the day with tons of sunlight and extremely quiet at night. The house is set far from the roadway with a lovely field path to the river in the back. The wide-open field space felt very safe for my dog. The hosts are warm and kind folks, always available but also maintain privacy. I hope to stay here again, and I would highly recommend it to friends. Advice to future guests: I used my GPS every time I returned to the property because the driveway entrance sneaks up on you along a 60 MPH roadway. Good to use the turn signal early.

This is our second stay at Fox Bluff in the last eight months, and we plan to come back many more times. It’s a beautiful home, and Lo is a brilliant host. She checks in regularly to make sure you have everything you need, but isn’t intrusive. The house is extremely well equipped, but uncluttered and airy. Secluded and peaceful, but not remote. There are a few nice restaurants and shops ~5 minutes drive away, in Brooklin, and then larger Blue Hill is a pleasant 20 minute drive: there’s a top-notch independent bookstore, Blue Hill Books; the Blue Hill Co-Op; excellent coffee at Bucklyn Coffee; nice restaurants and shops, etc. There are great trails and shoreline spots all across the peninsula, plus kayaking, sailing, beachcombing, etc. So many stars at night! We’ve always felt comfortable, safe and welcome in the house, and with Lo as our host. It’s our special place and will become yours, too.

Kristi’s place was not only a great and easy to find location, but the view, yard and dock were stellar! Having 2 full bathrooms and very comfotable beds was also great!hard to find in a small place. Nice deck too and a hammock to boot.

I was in the area for a repair job, and this was a great place to stay! The wood stove easily heated it for the couple of nights I was there, and the kitchen had all the amenities I needed. And they even had a friendly cat that visited. Thank you!

Ashley was an attentive and friendly host. The house is very nice, the view is better than the photos, of course, and the beach below is very nice, very peaceful. We had an internet glitch in his new system and he figured it out, or his daughter did, and he fixed it very hastily. It was good to meet him.

Joshua and Tara are AMAZING HOSTS ! Respectful and very sweet and nice ! 😊 I loved my stay & I will DEFINITELY be coming back ! If you want to stay somewhere where they treat you like family then this is the right spot !
