Very clean, amazing set up and perfect for having some guys there. Host was amazing and very responsive and answered all my questions! Very clear instructions! Would stay again or recommend to people!

Our family came up here to enjoy a couple of days unwinding and relaxing and this place delivered! The pictures of the lake honestly don’t do the view justice. The only thing that we were disappointed by was one of the rooms was a loft which you can’t really tell from the pictures. So if you are looking for all the rooms to have doors for additional privacy, that might be a downside. Even with that, we loved our stay!

We love staying at Ashley’s houses! Awesome location for torch lake and great clean houses with room for a good size group!

teresa’s home was in the perfect location for what we were wanting! easy to access the sandbar! she was super helpful with anything we needed! highly recommend!

The house was very well furnished, yard was perfect for a nightly bonfire with friends and family. Close enough to town where you could easily get groceries, fuel, or simple go out to eat with no worry about it being a long drive. The house was located perfectly around multiple trailheads for ORV riding (within 20 mins). The only thing that I can say that was a downside to the rental was the amount of kitchenware. For a cabin that sleeps 10, there were limited plates, bowls, mixing bowls, and utensils.

We have stayed in many rentals but this place is definitely one of the best, if not the best we have ever stayed in. It was clean, comfortable and they have thought of everything for the visitor. The hosts were responsive to my texts and their instructions were very easy in checking in and out. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

This was a beautiful, private & peaceful get away! Lisa’s place was super clean and had everything we needed for all 9 of us (8 + a baby). We drove up to Boyne every day we were there and it was an easy drive (40 min) & it didn’t seem that long at all! It was really nice to come each day to a nice, clean & quiet place to relax and unwind. We also brought our daughter’s dog & they had bowls, towels & potty bags for him as well! So nice! We also enjoyed the fresh organic coffee they provided as well! Checkout chores were also much less then the many other Air B&B’s/VRBO’s we’ve been at! Thanks for a great vacation!

We had a wonderful stay at this property. It is an absolute treat having our boat right outside at the dock. We loved listening to the loons. Mark, the property manager is super helpful (thank you!). The property is clean, clutter free, and the house is stocked very well with essentials. Michael accommodated a special request I had for our stay during booking and I really appreciated the opportunity. We would love to stay here again! My only complaint is the trip went by too fast!

Not only was this peaceful gem just like the listing. BUT the record collection and books are AWESOME!!!! The pet friendly fenced in back yard was spacious and well lit for our Great Dane puppy to run a frolic to her little hearts content. Cant build build a fire?(even though there was ample wood supplied)?? There’s a gas table top fire.. don’t feel like going out??? I made a homemade breakfast pizza and had all the cooking utensils I needed… I felt soo at home and at peace. And enjoyed a trip to Petosky and POND HILL FARM and the tunnel of trees. I JUST need to know one thing??? How much is rent, and when can I move in??

We loved our stay at "the cabin!" Lots of room and personalized space for those who wanted it. Good bathroom space and really appreciated the laundry and kitchen areas.

Just back from a 3 night stay at Hall's Haven and it was a perfect spot for our two families of 4, ages 7 thru 50! The welcome treats were such a nice added touch and much appreciated. Lots of space for kids and adults to spread out and plenty of toys and games for everyone. Lots of space for ski gear too! We loved having fires and cooking big meals together in the kitchen, which had everything we could possibly need. There was SO much snow and every window had a beautiful view of the snowy woods. Quiet, lovely neighborhood near the Lakeview Inn and just 5 minutes to Schuss Village for skiing. The sauna was an added luxury after a day of skiing! We had the best weekend together! We chose this place because of the central location to bigger towns. It is pet friendly which made us very happy. The house is immaculate! All your basic needs as far as kitchen, and bathroom were provided. Set up is perfect for one or two couples, or a small family. It is a little close to the road and at the end of the community it is in, so the noise of vehicles speeding up to leave the area was noticeable. The yard in the back is big enough for your pets to roam. The small gazebo and fire pit are great! Unfortunately our weather didn't permit us to use it but definitely would have if we could. Deb was absolutely fantastic about communicating and answering all questions. Check in was so easy and we enjoyed our time here very much! I would recommend this 10/10!!

We have stayed at Timber Valley multiple times as a family and it is always a yearly highlight getaway for us. Kristi's place is very cozy and inviting especially being surrounded by the woods and nature. The house is the perfect size for our family of six and we have even had additional family stay with is in the past with more than enough room to accommodate our needs. Kristi is always responsive and helpful with any questions or concerns that come up. You can't go wrong with a stay at Timber Valley!

My 4 kids, husband and I have been coming to Shanty creek resorts for over 10 years. This is the first time we stayed somewhere other than the resort hotels. We enjoyed we were able to bring our dog on this trip, we had a kitchenette, and we did more in the area because we had to drive ourselves. This gave us a chance to explore and save more money. By staying in a place more reasonable than the hotel and we were able to cook ourselves and didn't have the added expense of a dog sitter. 4girls sharing one bathroom worked out better than I thought. We loved staying here for a little weekend getaway! Dorene and John were so helpful and kind. The place was awesome so close to everything! Everything was so cozy and well put together, the hot tub with view is awesome!! We for sure will be back

Extremely beautiful home and property. Very clean and spacious. The house and kitchen had all the essentials, and there were a variety of games for all the children. Our personal favorite was shuffleboard. The dock is absolutely perfect for fishing, and the paddleboat is a nice touch. The beds were very comfortable, and it was so nice to have TVs in pretty much every room. I also loved that there were so many soft blankets and cozy spots throughout the home. We were able to use the fire pit and grill, and overall, it was a fantastic getaway for the family, and I love that this stunning property is pet-friendly! Highly recommend!

You have an absolute Gem of a cabin! I booked this trip on a whim only knowing I wanted to see Torch lake but unknowing of the area. I can’t imagine finding a better rental in all the area. It was absolutely perfect for our family in every way! I’ll start with the location. There is everything you need within minutes. Private access to the water with the perfect little beach just a couple minute walk down the road, grocery store, gas station, liquor store within a 5 minute drive. Kayak rental minutes down the road. Beautifully maintained hiking trails surrounding the area (I was shocked how much nicer they are than state parks in our area). We enjoyed going into Aden to shop, play at the park and get ice cream. The cabin was so comfortable we felt very much at home. It had a generous amount of supplies (towels, hygiene and paper products ect….) This place has been a prime location for a people free vacation at an incredible value and I’ve been recommending it to everyone! Thank you!

We had a great stay! Beautifully placed in the middle of peace and quiet…the hot tub was fun, the house was exactly as we expected and we felt very welcomed. Alden and its surrounding cities are always fun to check out, just far enough away but not too far from the house. There’s also a market/gas station not far from the house, so we easily drove to do a little grocery shopping. Kevin is a great host — I’m thoroughly impressed with our stay and hope to stay here again!

We spent Easter weekend in this adorable little cabin. Has a very Bo-Ho feel to it from a decoration perspective. Also felt like maybe it was a new purchase, and things were being worked on/remodeled/redone. The woods next to the home are amazing. The hot tub was amazing. We've stayed in a lot of different cabins, and there are few things this cabin didn't have, that many others do, but it didn't deter us from loving it, but might be good knowledge for others that travel here (these things may be coming though-potential process of a major remodel.) *No shelving in either shower for your own stuff. (Soap provided). No steps getting into hot tub-difficult to get in and out of. (Ladder next to it) Nothing to really hang towels on outside for hot tub. (Maybe use ladder?) Need more towels between hot tub and showers-if more than 2 guests. (There is a washer and dryer though-can wash.) Not much room to put your things on a counter in the master bathroom. No chairs by fire pit. (seasonal?)
