We are here if you require something, would like some local knowledge on things to do or a chat. Our place is located in the heart of the beautiful Taurikura Bay only a stone throw from the waters edge with views of the bay. We are surrounded by beautiful bush walking trails suitable for all levels of fitness & beautiful beaches to choose from.

Modern spacious self contained studio with its own private entrance. 5 minutes from the Town Basin; a perfect base for exploring Whangarei. Upstairs bedroom with queen & single beds. Downstairs a separate bathroom adjacent to lounge with heat pump and small kitchenette. Includes jug, toaster, fridge, microwave. Some breakfast essentials such as milk, spreads, muesli, various teas & coffee facilities as a starter only. Freeview TV and Netflixs. Off street parking for one vehicle.

Mangawhai / Te Arai - A Tranquil, Lush Getaway

Welcome to your getaway. An expansive, lush property bordered by a stream and native trees with an extensive garden where you are welcome to wander and sit. A private and peaceful Hot Tub area is available for your use. "Southwind" is a small rural property surrounded by farmland and other lifestyle blocks. We are 15 mins drive on sealed roads to amenities in both Mangawhai and Wellsford, 8 mins to the Te Arai surf beach turnoff and 12 minutes to the Te Arai Links course.

The Orchid Shed

Come relax in a clean, quiet and simple studio unit surrounded by trees. The studio was recently renovated (Dec 2025). It has a kitchenette, bathroom, lounge area, bedroom area, a heat pump, washing machine and deck. Located only 5km from the city centre, it is a 2 minute walk from a cafe and local stores and in a nice neighbourhood. Off street parking is available by the studio. Please note, this is a studio. There isn't a separate bedroom.

Ruakaka Heights Unit

Kick back, relax and enjoy the views from this calm, stylish space. This fully self contained unit with large deck and views over Ruakaka Beach and out to the Hen & Chick's will provide the space you need to unwind and relax, no matter if it is a work trip or a weekend away. Located approx. 10 minute drive from Ruakaka, Marsden Point and One Tree Point, there is plenty to explore, including Marsden Cove Marina & McLeods Brewery all close by.

'Drink the wild Air' Wild Forest Hideaway is the oldest human-made thing on the property. A mix of peace and calm in a secluded slice of the Kauri Coast. The 110-year-old Kauri Bushman's Cottage is self-contained but attached to our house. It sits next to the stream, surrounded by native forest. An outdoor cast iron bath. A swing chair by the stream. A dining table and a hammock on the covered deck. Views to the secret garden.

Riverside Retreat

Fully renovated guest suite just 2 minutes walk from the town basin and Hundertwasser. Guest suite has a private entrance with car-parking space and a private patio featuring mountain and river views. Both the main bedroom and sitting room are equipped with Smart TVs. Full wifi coverage is provided with Ultra Fast Broadband. Kitchenette includes a mini-fridge, microwave, toaster and kettle along with basic cutlery.

Vale Road Apartment - so close to the town basin!

Our self contained apartment is a leisurely 10 minute walk into the city town basin centre including the fabulous Hundertwasser museum. and right on the doorstep of lovely bush and river walks. This is a great place to explore Whangarei from or very handy if you are visiting for work. There is off street parking for your car and private access down 9 external stairs to the spacious unit. There is free unlimited WIFI .
