We will be exploring the world via street food in the one of the world’s most diverse areas just 15-20 minutes from Midtown Manhattan. We will be eating a lot. ALL food we order on the tour is included in the price! In this neighborhood of Queens, carts and trucks come out with some of the most delicious food to be had in NYC. Many places we visit are hole in the wall, hidden gems that aren't easily noticed if you were to walk through the neighborhood on your own. These are places that we frequent and where we eat often and want to share them with you! We'll also share more information about the neighborhood, vendors and cuisines so you can learn more along with getting a great meal. Often, the vendors will change by day, so each tour may be unique. Our journey may take you from Tibet to Mexico and more in between. Also, we’ll explore the catalysts behind Prohibition and focus on the women of the Gilded Age, and the movement that gave rise to an oil king. To round off our journey together, we'll take you around the edge of Times Square and finally we’ll discuss the demise of Prohibition over cocktails at our last venue stop. In this vibrant experience hosted by Dr. Honeybrew, your coffee grinds are projected onto a giant monitor allowing for all of the symbols to be witnessed and analyzed right before your eyes! You will leave knowing both your future & how Turkish coffee fortune reading is conducted. Decaf options are available for those who are caffeine sensitive. First of all! Our classes are small. We want you to really experience this privately. The class is Very hands on. In this class you will learn how to make pasta from scratch. You’ll also learn how to make pasta and a sauce from scratch. Using all natural delicious farm ingredients. You will learn to make the pasta, sauce and garlic bread in this class. All our herbs come right from our in house Hydroponics herb garden. It’s a great hands-on class that you could do with friends or a private party. I have been teaching these classes for over 13 years and it’s a lot of fun. No need to bring anything everything is covered. You’re also welcome to bring wine if you choose. If you’re vegan, a vegetarian, gluten-free, or keto please let us know in advance so we can have the ingredients for you. You will make and be taught how to do this using your hands. We are making Neon signage because its FUN and green. Compared with traditional glass neon lights, neon designs made from LED are brighter, more beautiful and are not easily damaged. You don't have to worry about broken glass, no noise, safe and environmentally friendly. Reducing energy consumption is one way to go green. Another is to reduce the amount of toxic materials released into the environment. We will design our signs (Mock up), install clamps, cut desired shapes, glue, wire, and test strips. Put it all together on a piece of biodegradable wood. The wood pieces range from 10X10 - 12X12 inches or larger depending on what's available. Invite your friends, let's turn this into a party. This is a beginner’s course to neon sign making. More like a cheat version, or I should say the safer greener version, with no glass involved. This is also a more environmentally friendly approach to energy consumption and design as LED’s are a greener option for lighting. We're doing shapes, initials, or any other small design you can come up with. The purpose of this experience is for you to learn about the importance of energy conservation. Learn about the transition of Neon Signs from glass to LED, and how you can source and create your own LED signs at home. Traditional art classes can be intimidating. This laid-back atmosphere is perfect for anyone looking to try out their painting skills. Plus, everything is better with GOATS! A brief introduction of the residents and tour of the sanctuary is followed by setting up materials and getting creative. With an approach of “art as therapy”, we can be as instructive or inspiring as each guest needs. We provide the professional art materials, easels, smocks complimentary beverages and the super cute, affectionate goats! You can either bring your masterpiece home or donate it to the sanctuary to help them raise funds. Take a guided horseback riding tour on our 300+ acres of private mountain trails lead by an experienced guide. After signing up and meeting the horses, we will show you the skills you need to ride through our trails. You will be accompanied by an experienced trail guide the entire time. This is a beginner friendly ride, most of the ride is walking, we go at the pace of the least experienced rider in the group. If you would like to do some more trotting, don't want to ride in a group, or are experienced, we recommend booking a private ride. The ride itself is 1 hour long and is done in a western saddle. From May 1- Columbus Day weekend we offer folks a chance to get out on the water and enjoy the beauty of Twin Lakes, Salisbury, Connecticut (not MA as in the link below the title...Airbnb won't fix!) with views of the mountains on our Captained Aquarius sailboat, we take a maximum of four people and supply life jackets and comfy dry seating. Guests can bring food but no alcohol. Cruises are 2 hours and start at 11 am and run through sunset. These are private charters so you will be with your own family and friends. We are the only sailboat charter in the tri-state (CT/MA/NY) southern Berkshires and Litchfield Hills. Other things to note Children under 4 may not enjoy the experience as it is not real active ... actually very relaxing.

You’ll choose crystals from my collection of 30+ to design your own custom crystal candle made of 100% soy wax. All candles are already poured into vintage glassware with a wide variety of scents to choose from. Guests will be greeted at my sunny home studio by me! Everyone will get a smock and and a stool and I'll introduce you to some of my work, then get you started on your own piece. Using acrylic paints, paint medium (thickener) and palette knives, you will choose your own colors and subject as I guide you through my method of abstract palette knife painting. Whether you create a landscape, a sunset or a color field, the process is soothing, meditative and an overall fun experience. Your end result will be uniquely yours and something to remember your visit by. So, uh, why does New York build "really, really big things?" We tend to do that a lot. This is a fast-paced & funny walking essay that explores the answers to that question through the story of the Brooklyn Bridge. And to do so, we have to look the historical stories of immigration, engineering and political machines. With this tour, we use the bridge and it's bloody, weird history to get a deeper understanding of what is not only New York City, but what makes any city a city. Other things to note - This will be a mile of walking, with frequent breaks so be prepared to do a little exercise. - We will not end the tour where we start, but in a neighborhood called DUMBO where there will be many transportation options to easily get you where you need to go.
