We had the best time while at Dead Cat Ranch. We felt like we had the place to ourselves and that we were getting the VIP treatment. We are already planning a trip to return with the rest of the family.

I was looking for a relaxing time, away from everything and everyone, and that’s exactly what this place is for. I loved it.

Couldn’t imaging a more peaceful and relaxing get away. Decor was definitely groovy as described. Very cool to see all the little details that went in to making this the perfect getaway cabin.

The cabin was adorable. Easy access. The driveway into the cabins was extremely narrow. I had a small 16 ft trailer with me that the tires rubbed along the entryway which was not a problem but would have been easier to drive through if it was wider. Not of any fault of the host what so ever there was a storm and the electric was out due to a tree falling on the line. It came back on around 10pm and we had to leave around 7 am for our activity in town. We were not able to actively get the full experience of the cute place due to only being there 12 hours and 5 of the hours was without power.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend there. Perfect place for a weekend getaway, especially with the relaxing hot tub!

Wonderful place to get away from the city and truly relax. A lot of open space to freely walk about and interact with a couple donkeys, horses and cattle. Great little house with some decorative aspects that brought back memories from 50+ years ago…

We absolutely loved our stay at this incredible place and are already looking forward to coming back! It truly had everything we could have hoped for in a peaceful and relaxing retreat. The cabins were not only beautiful but also exceptionally comfortable and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed for our extended weekend getaway. Every little detail made us feel right at home.🥰 The property itself was stunning — so serene and well cared for, offering the perfect setting to unwind and recharge. We especially enjoyed spending time by the fishing pond, which was both fun and wonderfully relaxing. It added a special touch to our stay and made our time there even more memorable.☺️ What really made the experience stand out, though, were the owners. They were incredibly kind, welcoming, and accommodating, making sure we had everything we needed. It’s clear they put their heart into creating a warm and inviting environment for their guests.😇 I can’t recommend this place highly enoug

We loved our stay! The location is peaceful. Beautiful views from the cabin. Perfect for a family getaway. Enjoyed the water slide, kayaks and pickle ball right outside the back door!! The owner was warm and welcoming when we met him in person on the property. Will be recommending!

This was the perfect place for a weekend getaway! We had a great time fishing the pond and river that was steps away from the cabin. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed. It was also a very quiet areas which we appreciated. Andrea was an amazing host and answered very quickly to anything I needed. Will stay here again!

We all loved our stay at this Hidden Pines Cottage. Kayaking, all the amenities, fresh air, closeness to the lake, privacy. We had a great time. Only two things which were a bit negative was the unpaved road (was informed of this earlier) and finding the place. Google maps pointed us to the house next door and so got lost for a little bit. When we entered the correct location, there were two houses side by side, which further confused us, especially since we reached there around 8pm and we couldn't see properly. But after the initial confusion, it was awesome! Thank you!

While there a storm came through and I enjoyed the sound of the rain on the cabin. The cabin has a well equipped kitchen and great main room. I really enjoyed relaxing evenings during my stay. My travel was for business so time to wind down was important.

I’ve stated numerous times. Richard of always a great host and super responsive. He recently replaced the living room and dining room furniture. Very nice and comfortable. I always enjoy my relaxing stay at the cabin

My husband and I stayed for our honeymoon and we absolutely LOVED it! Our dogs had the best time also. The views were great, so much available from fishing rods, bait, grills and kitchen utensils. Also, the DVD collection was impressive! We loved the property so much, we will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend for anyone trying to get away and relax. However, Walmart is only 20 min away so you still can get essentials easily. The Kurig stopped working randomly and Adam offered to go get another, which we declined because we aren’t huge coffee drinks but him offering was super nice! We also were considering changing our check-in/check-out dates, and he also was super flexible to any changes. Can’t wait to come back!!!

I felt right at home at Terry’s place and especially enjoyed visiting with Terry and his dogs. It was a great location for me and very easy to find.

We could not have asked for a better getaway for our family! Amy is a thoughtful and responsive host, and we loved the farmhouse. The space is both cozy and spacious, as well as very comfortable, and perfect for us to slow down and enjoy being out in the country. We had fun exploring around Rusk and then relaxing at the farmhouse. We would love to come back again in the future!
