For cyclists the Coastal Walkway takes you to the Wharf Cafe and access to the Hauraki Rail Trail.

You also have the opportunity to pushbike or walk some popular tracks in this area, which are a short drive away. This cabin has lovely rural views, so it’s a perfect 1 or 2 night getaway to enjoy some R & R! And remember "You can check out any time you like, but you may never want to leave!"

Welcome to our private romantic getaway at Hereford Cottage. Located in Whakatiwai, north of Kaiaua with a backdrop of the Hunua ranges. We absolutely love living here and thought we would like to share one of our favourite places with others. We offer a beautiful one-bedroom cottage with a lovely outdoor wood fire tub and a romantic little area with a firepit, nestled in a natural setting with views of a stream, native bush and native birds. Enjoy a night or a couple of nights here with us.

Nestled in the Kauaeranga Valley, our ground level Garden Suite; living, bedroom and ensuite is ready for you. A shared entrance leads to your private wing. The kitchenette has a toaster, jug, microwave and fridge. Homemade muesli, tea and locally roasted coffee provided. The comfortable bed has quality linen. 4kms along the road is the Coromandel Forest Park, DOC Centre, the superb Pinnacles walk, and great swimming holes. Enjoy the starry nights. A trundler bed or portacot are available.
