It is also only a 5 min drive to the Cairns Airport and a 8 min drive to the Cairns CBD and Esplanade. Kisler Cottage - Rural retreat with a view

We call our lovely cottage "Kisler Cottage". It is located on the edge of Malanda which has all amenities, shops, period hotel, RSL , cafes and restaurants. Malanda is a great base to explore the Atherton Tablelands. Kisler Cottage is fully self contained, well appointed with quality furniture, some made by master- craftsman Victor Kisler, hence the name. The views from the cottage front deck are spectacular. So are the sunsets.

It is a great place to stay if you’re looking for an affordable clean comfortable space to stay while you explore Cairns & the Tropical far north. FNQ Blooms Tropical Flower Farm Lodge

Our Tropical Flower Farm is a 52-acre property situated at the foothills of Mt Bartle about one hour drive south of the Cairns International Airport. We grow an extensive variety of tropical Heliconia and Ginger for use in the Australian Cut Flower market. Our farm is completely self-sustainable. We have a waterfall that generates our power through Hydroelectricity and gravity-fed water from a natural spring.

Tinaroo Wilderness Retreat

Tinaroo Wilderness Retreat is situated on over 2 acres of beautiful bushland next to Lake Tinaroo. The cottage is totally private and backs into a reserve. Only a short stroll to the lake and is surrounded by an abundance of wildlife. 3 minute drive to Black Gully boat ramp, 12 minutes to Atherton mountain bike park, and Mount Baldy walking trail. It has it all — fishing, hiking, mountain biking, water sports.
