The Suite Spot

Originally built as The Buckley Hotel, this historic building has been brought back to life. While retaining the features that makes this home so beautiful and reflective of its time, we have brought in modern amenities that insure a comfortable stay while in the heart of Excelsior Springs. This place is so perfect if you are visiting town as it's steps from shopping, eating and landmarks. Our property was once owned by Bill Payne, Chief of Police from 1926-1950. Bill decided in the early 40's to add on to the back of the residence to facilitate keeping those incarcerated overnight. That space is now our kitchen. Our Guest House sits directly behind that kitchen and once was the garage for the police car. A second story was added in the early 50's and now belongs to the kitchenette and two of our rooms. (Pacific and European) Our Caribbean Suite is on the main level.
