Underground Hobbit Home in the deep forest

Our custom-built Hobbit Home is nestled under the forest floor on a 10 acre site. A bench swing adorns the hillside along the huge boulder fire pit and outdoor picnic area. The inside of the 185 sq.ft. structure is one-of-a-kind, with a Poplar tree bark ceiling, wavy cedar walls, and a wood cookie wall. A queen sized bed with linens and pillows comfortably sleeps two, and a comfy pull out couch can sleep two children under 12 or one teen or adult. A wood stove makes it cozy in the cold months.

Lakefront Cottage in the woods w/Bunkhouse & Boat

Welcome to the Loon's Nest, a renovated lakefront bungalow w/bunkhouse that includes FREE & exclusive use of pontoon boat, 2 kayaks & dock from May through October. Situated on on 2 large lots w/private beach & expansive views of Lake Wabasis in front, as well as private pond out back filled year-round w/wildlife. Lake Wabasis is approximately 2 miles long (Kent County's biggest) w/418 acres of primarily undeveloped, protected wetlands. It's an all-sports lake w/excellent fishing year-round.

Cabin in the Woods

35 private acres of forest on rolling hill terrain. Lots of wildlife nestled very close to the flat river; 30-40 minutes away from Grand Rapids. The Fred Meijer trail provides great biking or hiking opportunities. Lazy float tubing or kayaking down the flat river is very popular and only a short walk away. Horse back riding, golf courses, and an amazing local bakery all within a couple miles. And a fun sport court (basketball hoop, volleyball/badminton/pickelball net all right on site!

Stones Throw

The whole group will enjoy easy access to everything from this centrally located place. Stones Throw is a great location for those visiting the many lakes in the area, nearby Grattan Raceway, horseback riding at Double R Ranch, restaurants, bars, golf courses, rivers for canoeing and tubing. As well as being close to popular venues and nearby "Beer City", Grand Rapids! Just across the street... really a stones throw away is the Grattan General Store and Grattan Bar & Restaurant.

The home is on Silver Lake, which is one of the premier lakes in the area. Only 15 miles from downtown Grand Rapids and 5 miles from quant and charming downtown Rockford. Updated in 2022. About 2000 sq. feet with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, plus a 4-season porch. Large sandy beach with a paddle boat, 2 stand up paddle boards, 2 kayaks, and a nice 2021, 20-foot pontoon boat available for rent. The place is great for families, romantic getaways, or business travelers.

But if you’d rather get out and explore, you are steps from the charming downtown Rockford full of shops, restaurants and activities. Bedroom has a king size bed. Kitchen is equipped with everything you need to cook a meal. There is also a small patio set on the front porch to use.

It has 66' of private shoreline; an elevated front deck plus side patio; and stone bonfire pit & gas BBQ grill. Guests also get FREE & exclusive use of pontoon boat, 2 kayaks and paddle boat, plus private dock (early May through late October, weather permitting). Swan Cottage is very dog-welcoming. The yard is not fenced, however we provide ground stakes & cable ties.

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. 2 Bedrooms, full kitchen, living room, dining room, and washer/dryer on site. Living room has fold out couch for sleeping 2 extra for a total of 6 people. There is an office area between the kitchen and the dining area that can be used if you need to get some work done while at the location. I have a ring doorbell camera monitoring the front door for safety.
