County Clare: pousadas

We stayed at Margaret's place for 2 days, and it was lovely too meet her. The bedroom was nice, and she was gave us a lot of good information about what to do in the area (Cliffs of Moher, Arran Islands). The breakfast was really nice, Kinvara is a wonderful place to stay if you want to listen to irish music !

Had a great stay on Inishmeain as always. Martin is a lovely man who will look after you while you explore this beautiful island.

Can I give six stars??!!!! Oh my goodness! This country house was the perfect spot to stay after a long day of flying. Our room was very comfortable with a beautiful view. We enjoyed Sunday dinner in the conservatory and I must say, it was about the most delicious meal I think I’ve ever had! The seafood chowder is a must! The service was wonderful, everyone was very friendly. I can’t overstate how much we enjoyed our visit. We continued on the next morning for an eight day tour of Ireland. Carrygerry country house was the perfect start to our vacation.

Beautiful location with awesome views of the surrounding countryside. Charming house, great breakfast and responsive host. Just a few minutes drive from the Cliffs of Moher and 10 minutes from great restaurants and the beach

The Mermaid's Garden was everything I wanted in a peaceful, remote, and magical place. Not only is Pariac a wonderful cook (Irish breakfast and brown soda bread) l, but also a local farmer who loves his land. The social eating area was chock full of photos showing him working the land, building stone walls, and creating soil from barren rocky ground. The house is private and pristine, a close walking distance to the three pubs and one market, overlooking the ocean and an ancient graveyard. It was nice and warm in October with the furnace on. Comfortable bed. My only concern is with the faint and weak WiFi. I did use up a ton of data, but my time on this wonderful island was worth it. The dogs are sweet and respectful. They will sit when asked and love to have head rubs. I was able to have quiet, gorgeous hikes every day for over a week, all nearby. The people who live there are friendly and the small island was not touristy at all. Wonderful experience. A highlight of my trip!

Maureen’s place is charming and so is she. Her lovely and welcoming b&b made a perfect one-night stop on our way from Dublin to Dingle. The breakfast was stellar, especially those scones!!

A nice cottage on a beautiful island. Very peaceful and quiet. The room was spacious and comfortable, and the proper Irish breakfast in the morning was delicious! The host was super helpful and kind.

Wir wurden von Ann mit offenen Armen entgangen. Sie hat uns das wunderschöne und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtete Zimmer gezeigt. Sie nimmt sich Zeit für Ihre Gäste und gibt einem das Gefühl nach Hause zu kommen. Wir haben Tipps für unseren nächsten Ausflug bekommen. Für die Gäste gibt es einen Frühstücksraum mit Müsli, Toast, Belag, Saft,Milch, usw.

Le plaisir de l'accueil, de la conversation et de la découverte d'autrui, nous l'avons trouvé chez Maura. Nous nous sommes sentis bien, dès le seuil de sa maison. Elle nous a reçus avec chaleur et simplicité. Nous étions comme chez nous dans la douceur de son foyer. Et nous avions envie de rester longtemps, longtemps. La maison de Maura est très bien située pour découvrir les falaises de Moher, parcourir le Burren, embarquer pour les îles d'Aran, monter jusque Galway... Merci à Maura, à son époux et caressés au chat.

I had a wonderful stay in Clodagh's, the location was stunning, the room was clean and had everything you need, breakfast was amazing, and communication was excellent. Clodagh also provided us with guidance in relation to our itinerary, to make sure we made the most of our trip. Would definitely recommend.

Gabi and Christy were such generous and accommodating hosts for our stay in quaint little Doolin. They were particularly well-connected to local pub music scene, and had great advice about what else to see and do in County Clare. The location is a bit remote, but that made it incredibly quiet and peaceful, with amazing views and lovely gardens. Very easy to find using Google Maps and the postal code. The bed was very comfy, and we had everything we needed. Breakfast was simple but excellent - especially the coffee! We really appreciated having some fridge space to use. We'll definitely be back for more great music and late-night conversation!

We have rent the room on the first floor for 2 nights and really enjoyed our stay. The surroundings, the views, the acessibility to doolin's village and the clifs of Moher as well as the attention to details in the room and the homemade sweet treats that Orla make are all nice reasons to stay here !

We stayed at Carolines for only one night, but it was perfect. Caroline and her very friendly dog greeted us at the door and showed us around. The room is spacious and it is very quiet. One thing that was even more wonderful than I thought was the shower. We've come to not expect a lot from the water pressure but here it was absolutely perfect :D Caroline provided a bit of breakfast which we ate while talking with her and watching snooker. It was a very lovely :)

This B&B is located just 2 easy turns away from downtown Doolin, a small "family feel" town in Ireland. When we arrived we were greeted by both Carmel and her husband. They showed us to our room and helped us get settled. We were provided pub suggestions for dinner and if you want our opinion, go to McGann's!! Breakfast was delicious: eggs, sausage, bacon, toast, coffee, tea.

We‘ve enjoyed our stay in the stylish B&B. Great room with a very good bed. The breakfast was very nice and Kevin was very helpful with recommendations.

Eimhin and Jonny’s place was incredible. While I only stayed one night, I felt right at home. The breakfast was complete with parfaits, toast, coffee, juice, cereal, and a cheese, quiche, and scone plate prepared for each guest. What a thoughtful addition! The recommendations and instructions were helpful and thorough, and Jonny even gave me a lift to the bus stop so I didn’t have to lug my bags. I honestly wished I could have stayed longer. If you’re looking to stay near the cliffs, look no further - this place was an absolute dream.

Kevin and Sokha are great hosts. The place is super cute and very comfortable. Could not have asked for a better experience. And the freaking scones that Sokha makes are amazing!
