From start to finish, this experience surpassed all expectations. The property is stunning and sits nestled in a little slice of paradise. Every detail was thought of and nothing was out of place. A sublime stay. We will be back!

We had a great family holiday at Bernie’s place in Hanmer. The house was amazing, the photos don’t do it justice! Bernie was the best host, the house was beautifully made up with the heating on for our arrival. Every last detail was thought about. The house was immaculate. I can not rate this house more highly. It is so peaceful, with the most incredible views out every window! There was nothing better than waking up and looking out the window to the mountain range, and that evening having an incredible hot spa heated by a log fire. The house is rustic, with ever piece of furniture quirky and well chosen for the space. The bathrooms were spotless and the fire was lit ready for us when we arrived which we really appreciated. The beach is so close by, listening to the waves was my favourite thing. As a family, we absolutely adored our stay here.

Warrick's place was a true godsend, for what we needed, as a couple, escaping Christchurch, for a quiet 5 days away. Autumn was a great time to stay, with the 2 storey home being warmed quickly during the day by the sun, and cooling down quickly at night. It was helpful, finding out that there was a studio apartment below the house, that could be occupied, during your stay, thus necessitating that we pay extra for that, to be unoccupied.....obviously, unless you enjoy, sharing... The request to take our rubbish with us, when we pay a cleaning fee, was, well...but, the rubbish receivers were just down the road....We shall certainly want to return. Please, clean the windows.

We loved our stay at the bach! Comfortable & cosy, we loved the spa and the open fire, the surroundings were spectacular! The house had everything we needed for a fun stay! Conical hill walk just up the road was awesome! So much to eat & do at the village. Would highly recommend this lovely home 😊

We loved our stay here! The view from the property is stunning, I really enjoyed sitting and watching the mountains in the evening! Lovely and spacious too and the private parking was a bonus!

The house itself was clean, comfortable, spacious and stylish. Its location was breathtakingly beautiful. The huge deck and the garden at the back looked up to snow capped mountains. We all loved it. Definitely the best place we’ve stayed on our trip around NZ. The hosts were really responsive.

My partner stayed there while on a solo fly fishing trip. Perfect place to base himself and a lovely spot to come back to after a day on the river. He’ll be going there again.

Lovely house in a great position to walk everywhere and enjoy everything Hanmer Springs has to offer. It had a bit less outdoor space than we were expecting but this didn’t stop us from enjoying a BBQ! The kitchen is very well equipped and it’s a lovely sociable space. The beds were huge and bathrooms spotless. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Second time we’ve stayed here while visiting Hanmer with family, and another great place to stay. Very close to downtown and the water park. Only shortfall is dishes, glasses and cups are very limited, so you’ll need to hand wash before you come close to filling the dishwasher. Hand to believe they don’t stock more than six of each item.

The property was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Its location was very convenient, just a short walk to Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools & Spa. A pleasant and straightforward stay overall. Would consider booking again.

Spectacular view and comfort. Janice had every detail covered. Directions were excellent. Very easy to find location. The inside and outside was gorgeous. Beds were comfortable. Water was hot. Hot tub jets and temperature was ideal. Very spacious (there were 7 of us … from 30’s to 60 years old). Janice was prompt in responding and thorough. Close to town … restaurants, bars, shopping, grocery stores, gas stations, Dusky dolphin snorkeling, kayaking, sightseeing fur seals, zip lining and so much more. We HIGHLY recommend Janice’s place.

This accommodation was as listed as pictured. It was cozy, had all the things we needed to feel right at home. It’s super close to the village and can walk to almost all the places including supermarkets activity centres hot springs. Thank you Eva, it was a great stay we had an amazing relaxing time.

Perfect for our family. Easy walking distance to town and had everything we needed.
