Great 5-day stay in this clean roomy apartment. Traffic noise is not a problem & beds are comfortable. The elevator is new and the rooms have been recently remodeled. The back door is on the street on the flipside of Broad. It looks like an alley but is a street. We had issues with the front door code which Gladys quickly fixed. The subway is a 1-minute walk out the door. Independence Hall and the other historical spots are 20 minutes away. We used the train from the airport & Amtrak. and then the subway throughout our historical vacation. The "Transit" app worked great for selecting trains. Many locals volunteered to help. The neighborhood is like any big city. Mind your business and board the subway smartly and you will be OK. Most locals are friendly, and some will ask for money but just say no thankyou with a smile and move on. We used the subways from early in the morning to late at night. Immediately below the apartment complex the chicken takeout is pretty good.

The host made accommodations for me which I really appreciated. They were great with communication and very fast to respond to my questions. This listing is cozy; it is a basement location so no windows in the apartment (set an alarm to wake up). It was comfortable for one person to stay here. Street parking in south Philly can be tricky if you’re not from the area. Overall great stay for my short trip!

Originally we were suppose to stay at a different house that I booked with them but the day of check in about 2 hours before, we had to be moved to another house. Host was very responsive and communicated the no hot water issue with the first property. It was a bit inconvenient however we ended up enjoying our stay at the second property anyways. I liked that the first floor was very open, everything was clean and my favorite part of the house was the movie theater set up in the basement.

Gladys’ place was a great little place in close proximity to the convention center and our favorite The Terminal Market. The Callowhill neighborhood is quiet and we felt safe walking to and from the convention center. Gladys’ is a very responsive host. We would stay there again.

Spacious apartment that is a short ride away from many attractions and very close to the Met. The building feels very secure and the unit was clean and comfortable. One bedroom had an en suite bathroom which was nice with the other 2 bedrooms close to the other full bath. Everyone was comfortable in their bedrooms and it's nice to have extra space with big couch and table with chairs. The TV was good also. Check in was very smooth, we were given clear instructions. I would definitely stay here again in the future!

This was a well appointed apartment and very clean. The location was very convenient for us! The only down side is that it was very loud in the neighborhood Friday night until 2 or 3am.

This was our second time staying at this apartment. Our daughter lives a few blocks away, so it has been a great location for us. The apartment is around the corner from a wonderful coffee shop, and there are many restaurants within walking distance. The Broad Street subway is easy to access (only a couple of blocks away). The apartment is very clean, and everything is new. The beds are very comfortable! The host is very responsive to questions, and provided clear check-in instructions. We will definitely consider staying here again!

Great property for an active family on the road.

The apartment was perfect for my two week work trip! I was able to cook whatever I needed with what was supplied in the kitchen. It was super clean and organized upon arrival. The apartment is really conveniently located. And the host was very flexible around check in and check out times as I was working with a weird travel schedule!

Perfect location, clear check-in instructions & amenities were exactly as described. Clean and simple crash pad, very comfortable bed. Would definitely stay again.

Very easy and comfortable stay in a good location for getting around the city. Incredibly private and quiet. Gated parking was awesome.

We were visiting family in Wilmington , the apartment was perfect, bed was comfortable and the location was central, so you could walk to Trolley Square. Would definitely book this place again. Julie

We brought our dog, so this place was a great fit. We were there for Penn Relays so it was a busy weekend in Philly. We parked in the convenient parking lot and never used the car again until we left. Had Penn Relays not been going on, we would probably have used it to go to University City. Located in the Gayborhood, the area is very dog-friendly. There are quiet, safe brownstone neighborhoods to walk in, dog-friendly restaurants and coffee shops, and a dog park a 5-minute walk away. Rittenhouse is a 15-minute walk away, City Hall is a 30-minute walk, and UPenn is a 40-minute walk across the bridge. We appreciated the AC in the loft and the heat pump on the main floor, which provided either heat or AC. Be warned, they are not kidding about the narrow street, the stairs leading up to the apartment, and the ladder leading up to the loft. All are doable if you are physically well.

For South Philly, it's a great location. The unit is the upper half of a two unit building. We've stayed there three times now and never had a problem. For an older part of town, the building is up to date and in very good shape. The neighbors have been very quiet. The beds are comfortable. On one occasion there were some minor maintenance issues but Andrea took care of them right away when she was notified. We hope to stay there again in the future. That said, the stools in the kitchen need to be reupholstered and a comfortable chair that one could read in would be appreciated.

Rui and Meng’s place was absolutely perfect for our short stay in Philly. They were very friendly and communicative and check-in and check-out were smooth and flexible. It’s located next to a metro station and buses. The place is cosy but perfectly formed with a very soft and comfy bed. There were nice little touches like tea, coffee and chocolates. I couldn’t recommend this place enough for your stay.

Cool, cozy apartment in a good spot away from the super busy tourist areas but still walkable to all of the attractions. Also nearby to lots of shops, great restaurants and public transportation. Our family enjoyed our stay very much!

I enjoyed my stay at this Airbnb, it was easy to check in and out, instructions were very clear, and Beth was very responsive when I had questions. I liked the area because of how convenient it was. when I wanted to go grocery shopping there were three different groceries stores right next to the building(Target, Giant, and Sprouts). I didn't have to travel far to get the stuff I needed. It was a nice place to retreat to after traversing the busy city all day. The building has a pretty big gym in the basement that I liked using to keep up with my morning jogs. The only thing that concerned me at first was a faint smell in the apartment. It wasn't a really bad smell it was more like a stagnant smell that went away when I opened a windows and sprayed some fabreez. Other than that I had a nice and comfortable stay at this Airbnb.

We definitely enjoyed our stay! The place was clean and cozy felt right at home host was very responsive and provided clear instructions loved having a washer and dryer and off street parking. My family and I even extended our stay a day because we didn’t want to leave. Thank you Elisee for a great stay!

We had a great stay. Elizabeth provided clear instructions and was very responsive. Having the option of a parking garage was a big plus, because trying to find street parking in Philly is very challenging.
