Beautiful house, easy to find. Lovely and clean. Had all we needed for our nights stay. Hosts were very responsive when we were left the wrong portacot mattress, they promptly brought the correct one to us.

Grace was very helpful throughout our visit. House was more than we excepted👍

Absolutely amazing house! Perfect for families and friends to stay together! Unfortunately the lake is currently unable to be used due to Toxic levels of Algae . But that didn't stop us from using the lakeside Spa, and enjoying the stunning view!

What a perfect place to stay. The place exceeded expectations and is even better than the photos and descriptions suggests. The fireplace worked flawlessly and was stocked with plenty of firewood and kindling to use. The beds had nice pillows and sheets that were warm and enveloping - and one bed had an electric blanket which was useful on a cold night. The outdoor bathtub was the highlight of the trip - the view of the Milky Way from a hot bath in a secluded area was something special - even saw a couple of shooting stars. The home is a quick 4 minute drive to Franz Josef town if you’re looking for restaurants or the grocery store. Can’t recommend this place more. What a special two nights we had there. We had to book this home immediately as our previous accommodation was unavailable. We had travelled 3 hours and as soon as I booked the home, Rob allowed us to head there right away instead of waiting for the check-in time. He called to make sure we made it in the house comfortably as well as being on call the entire time if I had a question or query. He was friendly and saved the trip! The view of the lake is beautiful too! The train runs in-front of the house and at first we thought it may be annoying but actually we enjoyed seeing it go past and it didn’t interrupt our sleep. The house is in walking distance to local tracks and to the lake. Fantastic weekend, thank you Rob!

A spacious home with a lovely setting, with plenty of space to spread out. Easy walking distance to the center with a good selection of restaurants. A variety of excellent walking trails are within a short distance by car and well worth doing. We really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful house in a great location. Spent 3 nights here and throughly enjoyed our stay. House was very clean, tidy and well presented. Great for families. Highly recommend this house and hope to return in the future ❤️

What a beautiful home in a unique location. Our three generations gathered from three countries for a lovely 5 days together in Christchurch. The views from all levels of this home are over the top. With high end cookware, two dishwashers and (my personal favorite and usual airbnb pet peeve) sharp knives, we grilled and gathered for “dinners in” every night instead of going out. Great access to governors bay pier and coffee/pizza just a short walk away. Loved this place so much and would return in a heartbeat.

Well the pictures instantly appealed- but it’s much larger in real life. The accessibility for me of being able to check in at 9pm was very helpful and as I had a lot of gear with me having the door at the front was very useful for loading and unloading. The details in the memrobilia were very interesting and yet a classic collection that was visually appealing A very classy apartment. Also much warmer and quieter that I had expected.

Fiona was so welcoming and friendly. The apartment is absolutely gorgeous - just as in the photos. A really special and beautiful home in the most amazing location - literally across the road from the beach. The apartment was filled with welcoming and thoughtful gestures including Easter eggs and hot cross buns, as well as fruit, milk and bread (on top of a well-stocked pantry). Would highly recommend and would love to return.

Nice, unique place on the way to Franz Joseph Glacier or the other way to Arthur’s Pass/Christchurch. The staff is very friendly.

What great hosts. Best airbnb ever. Absolutely loved this home away from home. Justine and Baz had thought of everything. It would have been very easy to stay in and just enjoy the view and surroundings. The furnishing paid attention to every detail, the bed to die for, all the appliances A+, the outdoor relaxing and bbq facilities excellent. The tea,coffee and breakfast cereal an excellent choice. Relaxing at night on a big luxurious couch with great TV and internet, after riding our bikes all day was just another plus. I could just go on and on. It was just awesome far better than any 5 star+ hotel or motel. Can't wait to return when the locals finish the biking/walking track around the lake. thank you again Jill and Kevin.

The house was the perfect getaway. The attention to detail was amazing, from the bath bomb in the bath to the duck food left for us to feed the ducks. It was a peaceful location and beautiful surroundings. Casey was a great host. We will definitely be coming back!

Great place, perfect for a grouo

We absolutely loved our stay here! Isobel & Matt were amazing hosts! Very responsive and just genuinely kind. They even checked in on us to make sure we got up to the cabin okay and when it was cold they were quick to offer more blankets, The cabin itself was beautiful, peaceful, and we loved the privacy. The amenities were great; the fire pit, grill, and bath outside was spot on for this location. We would stay here again, hands down our favorite stay on our honey moon. Thanks again y’all ❤️

Stunning quiet location, very warm and cozy, great shower pressure and absolutely loved the pool table! Didn’t miss having a tv at all - lovely to be off-grid for a change. Huge deck which is all covered and would’ve been great if it was raining! But we had beautiful weather so also had no issues with solar power. Felt very lucky to be able to have our dogs with us. They had the best time too. Thanks so much, we had a great couple of nights.

Beautiful little spot. I understand it was during Christmas vacation Just had issue with dishwasher that did not work and could not be fixed while we were there so hand wash for a week . No microwave either. Other than that very beautiful places with all you need. We were able to cook every nights with guests.

Very nice and cozy pod in the middle of a beautiful environment. Recommend!!
