The location is great as it is close to many tourist attractions and golf clubs. The Cliffs of Moher and West Clare beaches are around 45 minutes drive away. Dromoland, Lahinch, Doonbeg, Shannon and many more Golf Courses are all within easy commuting distance.

Charming 15th Century Castle

Built in the late 1400s, Grantstown Castle has been lovingly restored and mixes medieval architecture with modern comforts. The Castle Is Rented In Its Entirety and caters for up to Seven Guests. The castle is comprised of six floors, connected via a stone and oak spiral staircase. There are three double bedrooms and one single. The castle has great battlements which are accessible at the top of the staircase and host amazing views of the surrounding countryside.

It is 25 minutes from Shannon Airport, 15 minutes from Ennis, the medieval capital town of Clare and 10 minutes from Tulla, the local town.

The village is a leisurely ten-minute walk away. There are many cafes, a French patisserie, numerous pubs with trad music and several restaurants along with two hotels. Killaloe also serves as a base for exploring Nenagh, Limerick and Galway.
