We welcome you to Matakana Escape. This modern 2-bedroom unit is the perfect place for your escape, to relax and unwind. It features stunning rural views and is bathed in afternoon sun. The large deck is perfect for BBQ’s and the outdoor area provides lots of space for kids to play. Matakana Village and Market are a flat 1km walk away. This family house is located directly on the harbourside boasting wraparound decks offering amazing views of McLeod Bay, Mount Manaia, and Mount Albury. There are 4 bedrooms : three inside the house with a large bathroom, and a private cabin off the deck with it's own ensuite bathroom and private garden deck overlooking the bay. Living rooms are large and beautifully decorated to a relaxed resort-style atmosphere, opening out onto the massive wraparound deck.

We are only 75mins drive north of Auckland, 10 mins off the number one highway. The cottage is built from beautiful untreated hardwoods set in a tranquil private spot, nestled on the edge of a regenerating native forest. The cottage is only a 2min walk down to the beautiful Kaipara Harbour. Our place is part of a 25 year old 300 acre organic permaculture farm, which we were instrumental in setting up as a working farm and village style subdivision.
