Gorgeous private lodge, great hot tub with stunning views. Location was so peaceful!. Great find!!!

My partner and I had a wonderful one night stay for his birthday on a Thursday night. The hosts were super helpful and very quick at responding; I first messaged prior to booking to see if it would be possible to have an earlier check in time. They replied and said we could kindly check in from 2pm as opposed to 4pm. We got there and I went in the hot tub straight away, however some of the jets didn’t seem to be working. I messaged the hosts and had an immediate response saying that they were currently out but they would have a look when they were back and to try a couple of different options, which worked- thank you! The lodge itself was calming, sparkling clean, clutter free and much more peaceful than I thought it would be! The bed was super comfortable as well and the electric blinds were great- genuinely one of the best nights sleep I’ve had in a very long time. The coffee machine and garden are great- a perfect spot if you’re a plane watched/ fan too! Thank you, we will be back

A beautiful retreat for 2 very peaceful nights away with my wife and our two Labradors. The retreat is very private and quiet but only a 5 minute drive from town and a 10 minute walk to the local pub. Our dogs made full use of the field as we made full use of the hot tub.

Lovely relaxing stay, the place is spotless and very beautiful. Beautiful little village, lovely surroundings. The host was friendly and very helpful. Would highly recommend ! We would definitely like to stay there again !

My partner and I enjoyed a splendid two-night stay at the Hideaway. The property was impeccably clean, and the hot tub was exceptional. We appreciated the tranquil and peaceful atmosphere. Annie provided outstanding service and ensured a warm welcome. We look forward to returning.

Very nice spacious lodge which really lived up to the online description. Exceptionally clean and had everything you could need for a relaxing stay. Nice views over golf course and easy access to Cambridge and surrounding area. Karen was very helpful with the few queries we had and stay was entirely trouble free. Due to a busy schedule we didn’t have time to explore the obviously popular Country Club but were never disturbed by anyone using the Club.

A lovely place to relax at. Owners were great and helpful. Loads of places to go and see around the area. Cabin was nice and spacious. Will defiantly be returning in the future.

Lovely place with all mod cons in a great location near to Alfriston, all its great pubs and walks to the downs

Second stay at the cabin. Has everything we need few a few days away and is perfectly located for trips into Salisbury and the new forest. The small garden is great if travelling with a furry companion.(check for the visiting cockerel if said companion has a prey drive & note there are gaps in the hedge if they’re inclined to escape) The cabin is warm, cosy & clean but the bed could still benefit from a mattress topper (but this could be down to our sensitive spinal regions!) Overall, we are happy with Nicks place 9/10 *

This was our second stay at The Drey and it was just as lovely as we remembered. We enjoyed the company of Anna and Cooper, the beautiful local walks, a trip in the car for a walk at Blackheath and a couple of visits to the Scarlett Arms. Our 7 year old daughter and 10 year old dog had the time of their lives with Cooper and exploring the woods!

Really easy to find. The instructions for parking and arrival etc weee very clear as were the instructions inside. There was everything I needed, but there are a couple of supermarkets within east walking distance. There was everything beach is only a few minutes walk, and I took the opportunity to walk the length of the south beach to East Stoke which was lovely. Very quiet area, and I knew who to contact if there was a problem. Would love to stay again .

Surroundings are delightful and the place is spacious and comfortable. Liked the provisioning in the kitchen where essentials like salt, pepper, oil (easy to forget to bring) were provided, and also wood and kindling for the log burner. very good selection of books to read and some games to play. A slight difficulty was the lack of welcome pack, appliance instructions (at least, we couldn't find them), so had trouble with the coffee maker as it seemed to want a de-scaling. Other appliances such as the dish-washer were a bit cryptic to use.

Fantastic place to stay. We visited with our young daughter and dog & we had everything that we needed - hosts simply can’t do enough for you. Fab location as well with loads of places to visit that are only a short drive away.

We had a truly wonderful stay! The place is perfect for anyone looking to take a break from the city and enjoy some fresh air, beautiful nature, and peaceful quiet. It’s exactly what we needed to recharge. Our dog was probably the happiest of all — he loved exploring the surroundings and had the time of his life! Nothing fell short of our expectations, even for us. The host was incredibly kind and considerate, ensuring that we had everything we required for a comfortable and enjoyable visit. A lovely getaway that we would absolutely recommend.

The cabin was modern and well kept. It’s tucked away and is the perfect hideaway. The location is great; walking distance to a stunning beach and a number of pubs and small cafes and shops. Would definitely recommend and we are already planning our next visit.

Amanda’s cabin was perfect for the two of us. It’s as lovely as the pictures and in the spring with the flowers blooming, maybe even better. And Amanda was an exceptional host. We hope for a return visit!

Charlotte and Tony's Cabin was the best AirBnB we've ever stayed in. It was perfectly sized for 2 people and a small dog, with a spotless, well-fitted kitchen, bathroom, relaxing area and bed. They've made such good use of the space. It was easy to find and well-positioned between Seaview high street and the path down to Seagrove. There were a number of things that made Charlotte and Tony's place stand out from other 4-5 Star places: the proactive messaging before we arrived, with personalised recommendations, the personalised parking space sign on arrival, the range of breakfast items left for us in the cabin, tailored to our dietary requirements, the bottle of wine in the fridge and how friendly they were checking in and out. Unsurprisingly, we plan on staying here again as soon as we can. Brilliant.

Nick has been the perfect host for this perfect getaway location for us. All information and necessary details clearly and politely provided with personal recommendations. the location and facilities are exactly as described BUT BETTER! Ultra comfortable bed, all the amenities you could possibly need, lovely shower and toilet facilities and all very nicely kept and maintained. Perfect for us as a quiet couples getaway, perfect for our little man taking his first steps and great for our furry friends who enjoyed exploring the area with us too. Thankyou so much to Nick for our stay, we will one million percent be back and will definitely recommend this to anyone considering a stay. Back to reality but with some great memories and feeling recharged.

We had a wonderful stay at Jen and Matts. Such a beautiful and peaceful location - we did the walk to the Black Horse pub which was really nice and had a really great stay.

We had an amazing stay at The Potting Shed … friendly helpful hosts… an ideal base for our walking and visits to Chichester… very handy for the local bus into the city

Barton Hollow was perfect for our stopover. Beautifully clean with fresh white bedding and a lovely little courtyard for breakfast. Debbie sent useful information prior to our stay and check in was very easy! Thanks for a lovely stay.
