The Hobart city centre, including world renowned Salamanca Market are all under 15 minutes away. Port Arthur is only 50 mins away.

The home is spacious and private, yet surrounded by (harmless) local wildlife. You will see many wallabies grazing on the property.

Using the shack as your base, no matter which direction you choose to venture, there’s an array of experiences and activities to explore, 20 min to Hobart Airport, 40 min to Hobart, gateway to Richmond, East Coast, Port Arthur and the Tasman Peninsula.

Enjoy Life at Coal Valley Cottage

Enjoy the wonderful, relaxing Tasmanian life in the beautiful, serene Coal River Valley wine region, only 14 km from Hobart CBD or 7 km from the airport. The well-appointed eco cottage is off-the-grid (solar-powered) on 21 acres with beautiful views of farmland and Coal River estuary, and plenty of wildlife including wallabies, wedge tailed eagles.
