My daughter & I had a wonderful relaxing break , everything was perfect & the hot tub was lovely . We had my daughter’s dog Bella with us who loved the woods & fields with easy access from the back gate . We really appreciated the fully enclosed garden. The area is absolutely stunning with easy roads compared to Cornwall . The kitchen was very well equipped and the bathroom had a beautiful rainfall shower . Iveta gave very clear instructions . We would love to come back in the future to explore the area more , thank you Iveta for sharing your beautiful peaceful home & the lovely basket of treats .

Great place , did exactly what it said on the tin

We had a lovely stay in the cottage. It was clean, cosy and the welcome goodies were a lovely touch and much appreciated. The hot tub was a perfect for relaxing in the evenings, and under cover (we got lucky with beautiful weather but this would’ve been great even if it rained!). Our dog enjoyed the secure garden and we appreciated knowing he could roam the garden safely. The cottage is in a great location, just a short drive from the sea, and Ruth provided great recommendations for local places to eat and visit. We went to the Sculpture Park by the lake which was beautiful! We’d love to stay again.

We have just spent the Easter weekend at this wonderful cottage - 4 adults and 2 children under 6 years old, and I have to say that Joel & Gaby’s place near the new forest is absolutely fabulous. Very spacious and ideal if you are looking for a getaway with a hot tub and table tennis in the garden. The cottage is in a great location, about 10 min drive to Paultons Park with peppa pig world so an absolute must for kids. It’s also not far from the new forest itself and Lyndhurst town. It was really tidy & clean, with a well equipped kitchen and bathrooms stocked with fresh towels. We were left a lovely gift on arrival of fresh bread, milk, eggs and a bottle of Prosecco which was an absolute treat! I couldn’t recommend this cottage more - thank you Joel & Gaby we had a fabulous time and would stay again in future.

We had a fab stay, thank you! Hot tub first thing in the morning next to a field of donkeys and ponies catching the morning light - what more could you want?? We had a lovely, relaxing stay here. Family of 4. Kids aged 7 & 9. The outdoor sandpit & play equipment would be more suited to younger kiddies but our two still enjoyed them & they were just happy with the jacuzzi really. The owners were very welcoming and informative. Gave some good recommendations… Esme’s tea rooms in Brockenhurst was one of them. Yum! Best scotch eggs and cake selection ever! Would have given 5 stars, but the decor could do with a little refresh & kitchen equipment was a bit of a mish mash. Bring your own salt and pepper, sugar and tea, too. Hand soap and washing up liquid was provided.

Such a beautiful hideaway on the edge of the New Forest. Chrissy was a perfect host with communication from booking my stay, and during, to make sure I was happy and letting me know she was there if I needed her. I will definitely be booking this idyllic cottage again, next time for longer as I didn't want to leave. Thank you so much Chrissy.

My friends and I had a great weekend stay at Vine Cottage. Communication with Gill and George was great and the one issue we had regarding the heating was sorted straight away. Vine Cottage is just as described and was lovely and clean on arrival and perfect for four friends to spend a weekend together.

A perfect place for a few days' relaxing, break in an idyllic setting. Amongst the places I've stayed for holidays & short breaks it was one of the best with many thoughtful touches, such as tissues in every room & welcoming bread, eggs & cider from their cider business. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

We had a lovely Easter Weekend, with the house ticking all the boxes! It is fully equipped with everything you need and the best distance we’ve ever had to the local pub!! It was about a 25 minute drive to Lyme Regis and a great location for exploring the area! Alison’s communication was extremely quick throughout our stay and the check in was really clear and simple. Would definitely recommend a stay here ☺️

The exact location isn't too clear when you book - but this place is actually like a small countryside heaven. It feels very peaceful and isolated, although you're within a few minutes drive from amenities (a few supermarkets) and the town centre. Sally was very helpful as soon as arrived, and super responsive all along. The cottage itself was small but perfectly fine for a family with 2 kids (the bedroom, upstairs, is really large though). All the essential was there, and in good working order. And it was great chilling on the lawn by the river, watching the sheep on the other side and the blossoming apple trees in Sally's garden, once the kids were in bed. I wish our stay had been longer to enjoy it further!

We had such a wonderful stay, so much so we didn’t want to leave. Hilary was such a welcoming host and the cottage was so beautiful. Our whole family loved the cottage and we definitely want to come back. There’s so much to do in the area too. There’s lots of toys at the cottage for kids, including bath toys and a really cute outdoor kids dining table. Once the kids were in bed it was also so lovely and cosy for the adults. The pianos were also a great touch, we loved playing them and teaching the kids how to play. We would recommend the stay to everyone.

The address says Jackdaw but it's number 3!! Should have Jackdaw on the front door or just change the listing to number 3!! Other than that, it was a pleasant stay once the boiler was turned on......

Julie's place was a fantastic place to stay during our time in Portland. The place was spotless, smelt nice and had all the amenities and items you might need for your stay. Locally, the walks are absolutely breathtaking! Some of the best views I have seen anywhere! There are a few food shops and takeaways locally, all fairly priced and good food. We will definitely return!

Firstly thank you Paul & Sarah for your directions. If you put the cottage post code in to your sat nav it will have you carrying out a U turn on the A31 so please note the directions given. The cottage is in a lovely location and was cosy, well furnished, well equipped and clean. The garden was lovely and great for our dogs but small dogs can squeeze through gaps in the fence (Paul is aware and is planning to block off any escape routes). There were fresh tulips and shortbread to greet us, which was a lovely touch, as well as lovely toiletries. Paul & Sarah were responsive to any queries or needs we had. There are lovely walks through the forest right on your doorstep. There is an outdoor hose for washing muddy footwear and paws. There are outside lights but the torch inside the cottage came in handy. We would happily recommend the cottage for a relaxing break.

We had such a great time at Caroline’s cottage, the location is stunning and the cottage felt immediately like home. Caroline has thought of everything and it’s the little touches which really made our stay, fresh local milk in the fridge, lovely soaps, shower gels etc. Extra rugs and a spare lead for our dog, and even a bat detector which our son really enjoyed. Overall a fab experience, we’ll definitely be coming back

We keep returning to this corner of Dorset and this is our third trip to Mapperton - and not our last. Absolutely the most beautiful place and immaculate, tasteful, cosy cottage.

We absolutely loved our stay here. Hazel wrote to us and gave clear instructions for arrival as well as coming to say hi once we got there. The accommodation was lovely and cosy. The amount of space to walk around in the forest was excellent even if we weren’t brave enough to do the flying fox. The Dutch hot tub was excellent once we got it hot and we spent a lovely evening listening to the sound of the forest. Highly recommend (my 4yr old loved all the books as well)

Thornhills Cottage was a delight, the instructions provided by Karyn were very informative with everything we needed to know about our stay prior to arriving. The self check in was an easy process. The hot tub is £30.00 per stay which we found very reasonably priced. However, we did find that the hot tub lacked privacy as easily visible from main road/cars passing by. The facilities were great. The location was easy to get to main supermarkets and local takeaways by car. Clark’s Village is a bonus with it being within 15 minutes distance. Parking is right outside the property which provides great accessibility as well as security for your vehicle. Heating was easy to use, very cosy cottage and felt at home there. Great sunset views too I must add. Kitchen had all necessary cooking equipment but please note, there is no freezer at this property. Fast WiFi with a smart TV which came in handy. Plenty of storage(i.e, wardrobe, chest of drawers etc) if staying long term. Thank you both.

We loved our stay! Beautiful cottage that was superbly clean, lovely location with plenty to do nearby (within 20mins or so drive, plus greatwalks and pubs on the doorstep). We bumped into the hosts a couple of times and they were really friendly. Normally as a family we like to stay in diffeent properties when we head away but we are already exploring dates to return here in the Summer.

A beautiful cottage, bath with a view and lovely hot tub in private garden. Provides everything you need for a relaxing weekend away. Beautiful location, so peaceful. The barn with pool table and gym was a great addition. Responsive host too, a really lovely welcome when we arrived.

One of the best places I've ever stayed. The host laid out age appropriate toys just for my baby girl, the nursery was stunning and all the beautiful vintage toys made it feel magical. The whole property's aesthetic was carefully curated with beautiful furniture, decor and collectables, but also made you feel right at home from the first step inside. The garden was maintained to an impeccable standard and had gorgeous play equipment including the little cottage shed with playhouse set up. Listening to the birds on the morning as light poured into the living room felt heavenly. The host was very friendly and attentive throughout the whole visit, super host status very well deserved. We hope to stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking to get away into the countryside.

Had an amazing stay at this beautiful cottage. Better than described and photos were spot on. Most wonderful welcome pack, Prosecco, Brownies, local bacon , butter , fresh bread and eggs and orange juice. Lovely fresh linen and fluffy towels. There were toiletries in every bathroom . Well equipped kitchen with cleaning supplies to us to use. Would love to go back again .

Wow! We had such a lovely stay. We just wanted to kick back for a few days and rest and this was perfect. Perfect cottage and perfect area. The cottage is immaculately kept and so well equipped with lovely little welcoming touches. Croissants were lovely, as were the Ferrero Rocher! Hosts were excellent. We had a short Wifi outage which made no difference to us but Ashley was quick to update us that they had a supplier issue and would be fixed asap. All in all, we had a lovely time, it felt like home from home. We relaxed, enjoyed the log burner and watched the birds! PERFECT! Thank You!

My partner and I where looking for a lovely countryside stay, to enjoy the fresh air and to get out with the dog for picturesque walks and Harriets place gave us just that! Slowley Farm was warm, inviting and clean - offering us everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The cosy indoor fireplace was lovely to enjoy in the evening and the surrounding area offered beautiful views of the countryside. We would certainly recommend the farm, as it's as beautiful on the inside as it is in the outside (with a lovely Koi fish pond!) - We would definitely stay again 😊
